Mark, Thanks for having us down. It was a fun day. You are a very fortunate man and all your labors have created a wonderful place. I especially like those giant oak trees. It was a pleasure meeting everyone and putting a face with the name. John

    The Concrete Underground

Even with the problems Friday you have had very few problems with the complicated build. Apparently you do alot of homework to avoid the issues before they happen. We are in the middle of a 60x80 build using a contractor and I'm still awake late going over the details in my head so as not to...

    Farm shop insurance Help needed

We are in the process of building our barn shop on property near our home. There is no dwelling on the land. It seems difficult to find insurance. We found liability coverage but not for the contents. Has anyone ran into this before? Any help would be appreciated. Property is in northeast...

You are a cool headed boss for giving your guys a break in a difficult situation and the kind I would want to work for as I'm sure they do. It just shows you metal...titanium in this instance. Started the lighting project today.

Great looking shop. I appreciate the pictures since it gives us some perspective of size...we are building a 60 x 80 and are worrying over the lighting as well. We are leaning toward the T5s as of now but you have a very bright shop which is what we want. A bit off topic but how did you do your...

    The Concrete Underground

I couldn't be happier for you, congratulations. Now pace yourself and don't let all that pent up energy get you laid up by being in too much of a hurry to get'r done. It will be good to see the daily reports like we were used to and wishing we were capable of the progress you made. All the best! JP

    The Concrete Underground

LL. Great progress for a slow time as you call it. I don't know how you kept ahead of all the details when ya'll were rolling full steam. To me taking a little breather can be a positive thing to smoke over little things more before the next push. I know weather and winter coming are on your...

    The Concrete Underground

LL, Thanks for the updates and Pics...they are like candy...waiting patiently for the next. To keep all this going with a big crew and the complicated details and at the end of a long day to take the time to share is exceptional. Here is to wishing you smooth sailing for the remainder. I'm...

    Reorganization, it's like a renovation.

This might sound like a bandaide but how about pouring a thin coat of epoxy or devcon and file it flat. It isn't that big of an area and probably wouldn't look too odd. Just a thought to make it useable. JP

How do you buy land? For a garage of course.

Try http://www.zillow.com/ and search land. Farm Credit will loan on land at 75% of price at a higher rate than residential rates. Talk to neighbors in an area you like they may know of something not on the market or that was. JP

    Tractors

Does any manufacturer make a smaller version of the track tractors? I'd love to have one but not for 3-400K and smaller would be very versatile. Thanks, JP

How to build level and square?

Also get a good level and learn how to check it for accuracy. And for square remember 3 4 5 see link. It works with and multiple of those numbers. (like 6 8 10 or 30 40 50) http://www.wikihow.com/Use-the-3-4-5-Rule-to-Build-Square-Corners
