    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Finally back in a shop

I'm not moving the heater, just wanting to better circulate air. A mini split would provide no real benefit. I don't need AC in the shop. Summers are routinely in the 70s. High 80is is rare and 90+ is unheard of. The weather where i am is very mild, and keeping my shop in the 50's is...

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Finally back in a shop

Yes that is the heater. I don't think the wall is much of a disruption. The shop is also not nearly big enough to need another heater, especially since it's usually in the 40s in the winter here. Pretty mild. The two parcels of the shop are the same temp. The wall doesn't go to the ceiling...

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Finally back in a shop

The old owner had it there is a wood shop. I have a car parked there now but it's going to be used long term for metal work to keep that separate from the rest of the shop.

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Finally back in a shop

After my divorce in 2019 i have been renting. Typically I would rent a home and rent separate shop space elsewhere. This really wasn't conducive to working on anything and ended up being more like storage. Fast forward to march. I closed on a house. .8 acres total, 30x36 shop and a 2300 sq...

    Double check your insurance policy!!!

Called my insurance just now. My home is insured for $540,000 so the shop was insured at 10%. They doubled that to 108,000(highest they'd go) for just $150 a year increase in premium(I pay about 1450 a year now). Thanks for the tip guys.

None of my neighbors park in their garage.

Attached garage is 900 sq ft, the wife parks her two cars in it. Teh third bay is used for yard tools and a dog kennel. Detached shop is 1300 sq feet. It has my 4 toys and all the usual shop stuff in it. My two cars that aren't toys are parked outside. I live in a neighborhood with pretty...

    Show your new tool arrivals

pictures from ebay ad that I bought, but I just bought 6 or 7 mac sockets in 1/4" drive. I have a set of older mac's that was either missing a few or had off brand replacements so I finally completed the set. I feel kind of foolish spending that much to complete a set that wasn't really missing...

    Grease gun storage ideas

So, i've got 3 or 4 grease guns that just sort of hang on nails. As of late they're dripping and leaving a mess on my floor. Do you guys store them empty? Do you have a method to prevent the dripping, or do i just need to stop being a sissy and clean the floor more often?
