    New to me toolbox project

I'd been looking for a decent toolbox, but I am also in a very budget conscious period, so I'd been scouring Craigslist. Found this earlier this week for $100. It's Allsteel, and looks to be a modular unit of sorts. It is of a medium gauge steel. Certain parts are extremely heavy duty...

FWIW, here are the NASA workmanship standards for crimping stranded wire. And the following are pics on how to make a NASA approved connection on solid wire. finish with heat shrink. (also, it's a computer illustration, see if you can spot the mistake)

I've got a a set of Thomas and Betts that were some of my first 'adult' tools. One of the installers at the car stereo shop I was helping to run broke one of the tips trying to cut something he shouldn't have. He ground the other side down even, and gave them to me. That was nearly 20 years...

    Help ID a toolbox/cabinet/thing, please

I'm not sure. It does look like there may be outlets in there, which would be great for cordless tool battery chargers.

    Help ID a toolbox/cabinet/thing, please

Listed as a toolbox on Craigslist. Owner says it's metal and 'heavy duty', and ~5 feet tall. It's a good price, and I'm interested, but it's also about an 80 mile drive to get, so I can't just pop over for a look see. Anybody familiar? Looks like it may be a medical cabinet, maybe?

They have a 'tools and garden' tab along the top, although sometimes things show up on regular Woot page, the Home Woot page or the Sellout Woot page. I won 2 Bags of **** back in the day..... they were crappy. :D

    Recommend a gas water heater

FWIW, I recently did a repair job on my 10 year old Rheem. The first question I got from EVERY plumber and plumbing supply place I called was "it's not a Whirlpool is it? We don't stock parts for/work on Whirlpools."

US Plastics has a huge selection. They can be a little pricey for singles, but usually have built in 5-10-15% discounts based on quantity. I've used them to get freshness sealed containers for my rib rub.

    "Free" Irwin T&G pliers

The display was at my Lowe's but they had no idea about it. Finally found the sales sheet, and let me get mine. Similar to the poster above, I also had purchased a two pack (10" and 8") of the waterpump type and was very impressed. Glad to have added a flat 8" for the cost of a cheapy pair...
