BBQ's ... why are 'built-in's so much more than free standing?

The only reason that I can think of is that the built ins are supposed to last longer, but I agree that they don't look like they're worth it. Build in a BGE or other type of Kammodo, and it should last as long, and be much more versatile.

Question about a couple of vintage tools

it's a huge place with 4 'tool' booths. One guy sells the REALLY old stuff, mostly wall hangers, another who sells decent stuff on the edge of high prices, one whose stuff ranges from junk to neat, and this one. The REALLY old tool booth.

Question about a couple of vintage tools

$19 for the grinder $25 for the 'crimper'/vise $35 for the tool box. Another vendor had a Bonney tool box for $20. Standard type with a single lift out tray. Outside was fine, but the inside had lots of surface rust. and the nut drivers are Kobalt, not Snap-on. :(

Question about a couple of vintage tools

Usually during lunch, I hit a couple of local flea market/antique places to look for tools. Two things I'm always on the lookout for are a bench grinder and a vise. Today, I found these (have not purchased yet). Delta Homecraft 6" grinder. As you can see, it's a belt driven model. It...

    it's 2013 garage sale season!...

I own that box and have since about 2003 or so. IIRC, the silver 'handles' were add ons that you slipped over the lip. That particular owner may not have used them. It functions. Keeps dust off of tools and hasn't fallen apart on me in 10 years.

    New to me toolbox project

it will be mostly a storage unit for my small power tools (jigsaw, router, etc...). I don't plan on putting 500 pounds of sockets and wrenches in it (not that I have that much anyway). BUT, it's a pretty strong unit. Stronger than the inexpensive rolling box that currently holds my tools...
