    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Mixed Grill - From London , England - GRIZZMAKES world

Hey Rian, The "S" is looking great... Nice job on the grille! And, the wheels you've located will be just right! As far as the tow ball... Around here, smallish utility trailers have couplers that require a 2" ball... usually with a 3/4" shank... but larger diameter shanks are available...

..."I may add some black edging to it"... Yep... that was my point. You did a fantastic job cleaning and painting your bowtie emblem... with a bit of masking and some black paint, it can have any look you want. Or... just leave it as it is... it looks great! ...D

Thoughts on Prefabricated Wood I-Joists vs lumber

I build the loft in one of my buildings using engineered joists. Would absolutely do it again! With a 24' span, 3/4" OSB subfloor, 16" o/c spacing for the joists, the floor is rock solid. This technology has been in use for more than 30 years. All of the new houses I've seen are built using...

Hey Rian, First off... a belated Happy Birthday! Great to hear you were able to spend the day doing the things you enjoy! Do you know the number designation of the original USA bulbs? Being a Ford guy, I'm not familiar with the type of base GM used on that truck... You're making great...

I’ll take free advice... and some opinions too! Metal vs. stick build.

Hmmm... maybe I got a bogus manual... You obviously have customers that like these buildings. I don't. I definitely won't be buying another one and will probably sell this one once I'm finished with it. Each to his own... ...D

    My modest dream come true

And... I'm not saying I'm not a fan of metal buildings. At some point, I am considering a red iron building... in size extra large... lol But, I will say I'm not as happy as I could be with my VersaTube purchase. As I mentioned, it's OK. It'll keep the snow off my tractor. I'm not thrilled...

The way it's illustrated in the manual, I cant see how the siding would overlap the slab. The ideas above make sense... would create a step for the siding to terminate in. But, that's not what the manual says. I'm not saying these buildings won't work... for someone. What I am saying is...

I’ll take free advice... and some opinions too! Metal vs. stick build.

...actually, they do recommend a slab (or footings) larger, by 3", than the width/length of the building. The implied reason is to avoid placing anchor points less than 1 1/2" from the edge of the concrete. In the above pic, it clearly states: Frame width + 3". Detailed drawings...

I'm on the home stretch of putting up a VersaTube structure. Mine is 14' x 30.5'. I won't repeat all of the details here... if you're interested, check the last page or 2 of my thread. Overall opinion at this point... if I had it to do over, I WOULD NOT DO IT AGAIN!! As mentioned in my...

Above 1200 Sq/FT building my BIG PARTY garage

Hey Don... You did an incredible job of restoring the iron clock base! Very nicely done... no doubt in my mind, it looks better than it did when new. And, I'm liking your vision for your bank building. Very cool that your neighbor gave you his excess building material. Considering the...
