    Show your new tool arrivals

Well I figured this qualified as a tool......it's a tool I'm using to add on another 1200' to my existing 1200' shop 😂. I picked this up this weekend. Has a 6' bucket and also came with a set of forks and will accept all skid steer attachments. On the back it's a extend-a-hoe with a 9" and 24"...

    Which lift to buy?

Ironically I had the exact same story.......was going to go with a Weaver until I had a Rotary SPOA10 (used twice) fall into my lap for $2000.......he also threw in an engine hoist when I got there to take it down. BUT if that hadn't have happened, after all my research, I was going with the...

Tell me if I'm being too fussy about a level.

A level is just for that - to make sure surfaces are either level or plumb. The level is off 1/16" of an inch over a 2' span. On a 8' span that 1/16" becomes 1/4" and so on and so on. I don't believe there is any level of OCD when it comes to making sure a tool does what its intended purpose...

Contractor broke water line... who's liable?

Wow, this is an interesting issue. Since I live on the left coast, I only know what would happen here. I agree that was dumb to use a ripper and drag it......honestly even if it was 6" below and all you were supposed to do was rip out the concrete, don't be an idiot and use a ripper. BUT - I...

    Most complete socket set 1/4", 3/8" 1/2"

@chtucker I did the EXACT same thing, and with my old (complete) set of sockets, gave those along with a stocked roller cart to my teenage son. When I retired I decided to buy myself a brand new set of tools and I wanted a COMPLETE, non-skipping set of sockets and wrenches. I have spent quite...

New Direct Lift DL9 - overhead 2 post

The release mechanism on the DL9 is identical to my Rotary SPOA10. If the cable isn't adjust correctly, it won't release the pawls to allow it to lower. If you raise the lift about an inch to take the car off those and pull the plastic cover off of the column closest to the wall you can see if...

New Direct Lift DL9 - overhead 2 post

OK my bad - and man you aren't kidding. I scoured the internet and there is literally NOTHING about vehicle placement for that lift. I have a Rotary SPOA10 and it at least has the measurements for placing the wheel spotting dish......good luck - I'll keep looking too!

    Good set of screw drivers?

I own both the Vessel Megadora/Megadora Impactas and the Wiha Extra Heavy Duty.......I personally find myself always going to the Vessels. Their fit in my hand is perfect. The Wiha's are a close second, but if I had to pick one - hands down the Vessels!

New Direct Lift DL9 - overhead 2 post

Did your lift by chance come with the ALI guide that has the lifting points to make sure you're positioning the arms correctly? I took a couple pics of mine showing Porsche. Im not sure what Porsche you own, but hopefully this will help. If you dont have one of these guides you can order one...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

@Metallitubby - Yes sorry about that - that is the seller on eBay I got it from. Coming from GB, I was surprised how fast it shipped and I received it (about a week from ordering). Great seller too!

I initially purchased them through Amazon, but then the 10% credit on every purchase has really added up for me! And ironically, they're pretty much just as fast as Amazon!

    Tekton Customer Service

OK so I am in the process of switching my tools over to Tekton. I have my (almost) 2400’ shop with my 2-post lift and all the other equipment I need to do whatever I need to on my vehicles or friends. I am a HUGE believer in CS and just had to give a shoutout to Tekton and how amazing they...
