Torque wrench question for basic brakes, oil change, etc jobs

I would go for the 20-100 ftlbs, just more useful for a wide range of jobs. I have never torqued a drain plug. In over 30 years of changing my oil and other people's. Never stripped or had one come loose.

    Small Home air compressor

I bought mine when they were on sale a while back so cheaper than the $30 difference. 90 day warranty doesn't bother me, and I never sell tools. This was strictly a home use item, I own and operate my own repair shop where we run IR compressors.

    Small Home air compressor

Another vote for the HF Fortress. I have the 2 gallon and it's been good. Only use it at home for filling tires, blowing out filters and such. Nice and quiet.

I sorta want the ol proto 5249

I have the 1/4" and 3/8" version, use them daily. I didn't like the small for size knurled handle on the 3/8" so I modified a Snap On soft grip to fit. It's one of my favorite ratchets now.

    Gearwrench XL vs. ICON, Mountain...

I have the Icon double box end wrenches that are 0 offset on one end and they're ratcheting on the other. They are not spline, but 12 point. Icon does make and DBE that is ratcheting on both ends and it has splines.
