Thinking of Selling Full Set of USA Craftsman Wrenches

I don't know who is paying these top prices because your buying a white elephant. If something breaks you can't warranty it. Well you can but it won't be American made. The pawn shops I frequent consider Craftsman tools as also ran tools, meaning you dig them out of the bins of miscellaneous...

    ASD, FD+, WRIGHTGRIP questions?

Check out the SK X-frame. There isn't a lot of USA choices in ratcheting wrenches. Sorry just reread post you want reversible, the x frames aren't.

    My latest Snap-on Purchase...

I bought a pair 3 weeks ago. Used them a couple of times, ok. I have a habit of buying things I don't need.

    Rebuilding floor jack....?

If you google your jacks model number all the seal suppliers want at least $45 for a kit. To me that jack is an Asian made model not worth the rebuild. You could take the parts to a shop and try and match up the soft parts. But that will cost also, in time and money.

What brand of floor jack are you rebuilding?

    Micrometers. Can you ID them?

The one with the black plastic is definitely an Asian import, and probably the other too. If they were Japanese, European, or USA they would have manufacturer info.

    Columbian 505-M2 question

The jaws in the M2 were pinned in. The M3 were bolted. Looks like it might be missing one jaw.

    Columbian 505-M2 question

    Snap-On Box ID and Value

I'd give at least what the new Craftsman cost (400-500). Might go more if condition is above average. I already have that top box, had since new.

    Snap-On Box ID and Value

For the right price I'd take that everyday of the week and twice on Sunday over the Craftsman. The new Craftsman boxes are not built as well as the old ones.

What is the general value of Thorsen and Truecraft tools?

I have a complete set of Thorsen USA combination wrenches. Used them in my industrial maintenance job for years, were good just a little thick and chrome peeled off. I wouldn't think they're worth a lot of money.

    Unique 1/4 drive sockets?

    1/2 inch air impact question

I use a Earthquake XT professionally everyday. Have used it for almost 2 years, still going. Before always ran IR guns. AVE thought highly of them and so did Justin Sturgel trucking, and he hates Harbor freight.

CL find-Hein Werner 4 ton jack...Worth picking up?

Looks like a GH model. Good old jack but big and bulky. Won't be much use for cars and small SUVs. Seal kits are available just Google. Or find a local hydraulic shop. If you have the tools and know how it's worth fixing but if you take it somewhere best leave it on CL.

Are usa craftsman tools worth anything?

When I go to pawn shops they keep the Snap on, Mac, Matco, and Cornwell in the case locked. The Craftsman is in the open bins with other tools. I still do buy old Craftsman tools if of the right vintage. To me there not worth much, expendable for modifying.

    ICON wrench open end measurement

My Wright grip2.0 13mm wrench has looser tolerances than my Snap on

    ICON wrench open end measurement

I think your being a little crazy about tolerances. I just checked my Icon reversing ratchet wrenches (sae pattern), and they are .006 to .012 oversize. In metric that is .16-.27. In comparison my Snap on flank drive plus metric combination wrenches are .2 to .24. Your over thinking this.

    Floor Jack Identification

What are 1 3/8 and 1 5/16 wrenches used for? (please share what you use them for))

I can tell you that 29mm is used on the tie rod nuts that hold a Bobcat concrete hammer together.
