In my case, I had expensive vapor barrier under the concrete that I drilled through. With a 7/8" hole in the concrete, it was easy enough to stick an icepick in there and find out how deep it was to the vapor barrier. Below that, the dirt and gravel weren't hard-packed in there, probably because...

Pictures worked this time. Are you able to curve your hose like Wachuka did, only in the other direction? If not, you'll porbably have to contact Danmar to get a replacment. I saw in another thread where someone else had this problem.

Your pictures didn't come through. All I see is a red X. Who needs a beam as an engine hoist, when you can buy an engine hoist. This is mine, unloading the MaxJax

Well, I guess no one wants to jump on this, so I'll do what I can. (no one answered for 3 hours, then two of us answer almost at the same time) I also had some issues with a new MaxJax. My hose was also too long (snicker snicker :rocker:), but I decided to mount mine on the wall, so I didn't...

    MaxJax on shallow floor

And my saving grace might be that I'm at 109 inches, and I don't have to lift any tanks.

    MaxJax on shallow floor

I had my garage built almost two years ago, and knew that some day I'd get a MaxJax. I told the concrete guy that I needed at least 4 inches of depth, and would prefer 5. He said that he was giving me 5.5 inches. Stupid me, I trusted him without checking it before it was poured. I also asked for...

Re: The other things we do in our garages Nothing too exciting in that story. I used to internet date, and had lots of goofy stories from there. Wish I had written a book. Met my wife at a good old-fashioned dance, 7 years ago next Saturday....Happily ever after.

Wachuko had a good idea that he mentioned. Put a bumper on the MaxJax post. I have stuff on my boat dock taht wraps around the corner nicely, but it would have to be glued on. Haven't fully investgated that idea yet, but will probably do that AND not install the left post until the car is in...

I have two garages (named "My Garage" and "Our Garage", to keep the confusion level high). My Garage has epoxy and polyurethane floors and that is where the lift is being installed, and all the good cars are. The times that I've had to kneel or lie down on it, it certainlly is nicer than...

Okay, here's one of those DUHL ideas, like "Why didn't I think of that"? Install the right post, park the car, GET OF OF THE CAR, install the left post. No banging of the doors. After the posts are installed, mount the arms so that they are under the car, if you have a short wheelbase car. No...

When I was having my house tiles, the tile guy was an old installer, and his family had been in the tile business in Orlando since 1923. He said that no grout sealer is best. With sealer, the grout will still grow mold, either from the water used to mix it up, or when the sealer wears down and...

Yeah, I can confirm that. I was suprised that there were no broken or crack tiles. He must have done a great job on laying the tile.

Looks like he didn't see your question, but allow me to answer that. I talked with him onlone last year, because he lives near me, and I was interested in his MaxJax (and he was interested in my Lotus). I finally got over tehre to see him this past weekend. HIs tile floor was holding up great...

I rented the HD truck once to pick up a smalll hot tub. Rental price was great, but the damn thing got like 4 mpg, and i was really easy on it. It had 17,000 mile on it, and I suspect never had any service, like a clean air filter. Next time I rent their truck, I'm either pulling the air filter...
