Kris if there is anyway I can swing it once we move back to the states this August I am going to place an order with you for at least one frame. I turn 44 in August and it’s all I want for my next 5 birthdays. I remain a fan very much rooting for you. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    44 Bikes Frame Shop

Kris, thanks for this thread. I have just finished a complete reread as I sit on the couch for my second week in a row with my left leg elevated from a pretty rough bike wreck. Going too fast on a gravel road has led to a pretty bad road rash and loss of one Bursa sack. I love this thread and...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Restored 1930's Auto Shop

Hey Thomas, I just saw the pictures of your wood shop. Like the vintage equipment. However, I am partial to the SawStop though as that was my work home for 8 years. I now work for their new parent company near Stuttgart Germany. Thanks so much for keeping us posted. Cheers, Jeremy.

So much, glad to have you with us again. I love your work so much. I wish I could take classes from you. Alas the commute from my new home in Germany might make that a bit hard though.

    The Hodgepodge Garage

Thanks xtremek. Speaking of Christmas I was able to get one totally new lamp done and delivered as a present for my nephew. I have no idea if he likes it or not but a few other do. Hope you all had a great holiday season and enjoyed your families.

    The Hodgepodge Garage

Thanks for the kind words. I honestly can't point you to anything special on the socket front I use standard candelabra bases for these lamps I just custom modify the fittings to accept them. In this lamp I use one of these fittings for the head, and one of these inside the thunderbolt shaft...

    The Hodgepodge Garage

I just finished up another one for a friend at work. I think she said it was going to be a gift for a cousin that just had a baby boy. So it has two flickering thunderbolt night lights.

    The Hodgepodge Garage

Rmalkow2: thanks for the kind words and encouragement. I have been really enjoying making the lamps and hope to continue for some time to come. As for colors I am happy to paint them however the buyer chooses. The one for my in-Laws is actually a chocolate brown color. The one I just hung in...

    The Hodgepodge Garage

Overkill: thanks for the kind words. As for your question. I drill a hole in the glass insulators and just put a piece of lamp pipe through that attaches to the light socket on one end and a custom adapter on the other. It just so happens that lamp pipe 1/8 IPS and 1/4 IPS dates back to the days...

That looks great Lane. That is exactly what motivated me. We we remodeling a bathroom and wanted to get a new fixture but the stuff we liked was so expensive I couldn't do it so I just decided to build my own. Speaking of which I am working on a new one for the kitchen right now. Here it...

Wow Joe; thank you so much, your praise is not only very flattering but somewhat humbling as well. I actually looked to see how far a drive it was. Unfortunately 2600 miles is a bit outside the range no matter what the deal is.
