    Start date for Dual 80?

Around 2005 they slowly started coming out.

    I used an old electric B & D drill

I have always hated electric corded drills. Air or cordless for me. Only corded drill I use is my hammer drill and that is about every three years if I'm lucky.

    2021 tool receipts?

I feel like 2020 was a fairly cheap year. I'm at a point there isn't much I need tool wise other than getting into hobby machining. 2021 so far has been a bit expensive as I have been diving into the machining more. $750 worth of new Kennedy boxes, $700 of Mitutoyo micrometers and $350 worth of...

American Forge & Foundry (AFF) Air Tools?

I'm under the impression AFF is just an importer brand that slaps their name on anything they get a good deal on. Probably decent tools, but I haven't seen Nick push anything I'd want to buy. There is no rocket science behind a die grinder, might as well get one at hazzard fart.

    Best Inexpensive Welder

I know you said a wire welder, but the cheapest way to welding is a used $50 225 Lincoln tombstone stick welder.

The floor is not a workbench. Pick that s#*t up dude!

One of my biggest pet peeves that I do to myself is putting tools on the floor. I do a lot of stuff kneeling or sitting on an *** buggy based on what I work on. In my home shop I have a hydraulic lift cart so in a perfect work I roll that over and adjust its height to a comfortable spot to lay...

what's your chose of heat gun for general use.

DeWalt cordless heat gun. Since I bought it, I haven't used my corded one. For what I do, it works perfect.

    Malco Eagle Grip pliers

I see snap on just released USA made locking pliers. Not sure if they are making them themselves or found a USA supplier. Not sure their cost so might be more than many want to spend on locking pliers, but until Malco gets going, snap on's would be the only USA made option I know off.

    Zoro coupon codes?

I usually get some sort of promo code from Zoro once a week. I tend to hold out for 20% codes, but get plenty of 15% off or $50 off orders above X. Even without codes Zoro tends to be my online source because free shipping.

    My Zoro Struggle is Real

Just used a 20% code yesterday on an order to Zoro. I coupled that with for some reason I overpaid my credit card by $200 last month so I used that up as well .

    Milwaukee vs. Gearhead Hand Tools

I don't have much overall experience with GW. I have a couple ratcheting wrench sets I bought about 20 years. Those wrenches are great. However through the years getting a wrench warrantied, everytime there is a noticeable drop in quality to the point I consider the new ones garbage. As for the...

    JB weld vs kerosene

Two years in and still good as new. So have have been lucky too that no other leaks developed.

Let's (definitively) talk roll/utility tool carts.

I tried several tool carts in the early days of them gaining popularity as mini tool boxes. I went through several designs trying to find what worked best for me. Overall it was never really about having my most used tools right there as it was a mobile work surface. I end up ditching the carts...

Snap - On , not so American anymore!

I do like those casters, wonder if they would bolt up to a Classic series.

1983 Craftsman (Waterloo) tool carts I've never seen

The top one is a super early Waterloo magunum series box. Made to compete with simlar style boxes from Snap on at the time.

Snap - On , not so American anymore!

Nothing new. The rounded front corner boxes for the outside the USA market haven been Asian for years. The squared off front corner boxes are USA.

    Air hammers

The Cheif is pretty impressive and I would put it against any .401 hammer. It is not going to touch the .498 CP717 in raw power.

Who makes a good quality engine hoist?

If you wait and watch for a used one, Ex Cell made a nice one. Labled as USA made and overall pretty nice. Only down fall is they are not folding. Generally speaking, I don't brands that make good one, especially USA made ever really offered folding ones.

    Kennedy tool boxes??

Kennedy are good boxes, I just bought a new machinists chest and middle box. If you are looking for a 26" box and willing to pay a made in USA price, they are a good choice. From what I see, Kennedy has really scaled back their offerings to their core boxes. A lot of the bigger boxes appear to...

    8.8 vs 10.9

My metric bolt in the bins are 10.9. I didn't actually request 10.9, that is just what I got. When I asked about it, I was told the price difference between 8.8 and 10.9 is so little, they don't mess with 8.8 unless asked for. For comparison, grade 8 is about 50% more than grade 5. When I was...
