I made this base to hold my pipe vise in a bench. Nothing fancy, just 1/4" plate welded to 2" round stock. I did it this way so the pipe vise can be rotated anyway I want since none of my bench vises swivel.

Little surprised that Nugier is getting mention so much. Kind of thought I was about the only one with with one. Personally I have 50 ton I bought on an auction. Awesome press. I was really surprised when I looked up how much a new one is, they make Dake look cheap.

About the cheapest new "USA" made press are the ones Northern sell. For years they were sold under the Carolina name, but I think they call them Arcan now. For what you want, you will have to look at the 30 ton as the 20 ton is the bottle jack style.

I have the mac air hammer and it does everything I expect out of .401 air hammer. Not experience with the matco hammer to say how they compare.

Pretty much all shop supplies are in this cabinet at home. At work I keep random stuff scattered in each drawer of my box, but I try to watch it these days based on how much I saved in the past just to toss out later.

I want to say I have seen deeper mid boxes on display at the difference stores that have craftsman now. Thinking about it, I dont think I have seen them recently.

I'm going to way blow your budget by a mile, but I'm figuring on one of these days of buying a Jet 5×7 mitering bandsaw for around $1000, hopefully a little less on sale. To me it looks like a nice jump up from the standard 4x6 and the ease of doing angles.

Rather annoyed the Icon 1/2" drive metric impacts set have a useless 26mm socket, but skip 24mm. Other than that they are pretty nice.

I would have considered GW, but it isn't really carried in many stores around here and I already made the rounds to enough stores, I was done looking. Prior to the Milwaukee set, I was liking the Menards masterforce 1/4" set, until I saw it was all 12pt sockets.
