    Hitch receiver storage ?

We have 6 pickups and SUVs of varying sizes . And three trailers , also of varying sizes , from a 4x8 and 6x12 to 7x 18 car hauler . Finding the right drop to use depends on how tall the truck is and which whatever trailer is being used .

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Installed a Mr Cool mini split . Took me and a helper about 7 hours , including building the pad outside . We already had the wiring available outside for the existing unit for the upstairs storage ,we installed last year , I made it large enough to handle the mini split too .

    Hitch receiver storage ?

We have a bunch of receiver hitches or different ball sizes and different drops etc Has someone come up with a good way to store these ? Other than just sliding them under my toolbox ? Searching the Google was useless since it only brings up the racks that plug into the hitch for hauling cargo.

Plumbers? Toilet rough in size - 11 1/2"

Be better to have a half inch too much room between the tank and wall than too little You can also get some flanges that have a small offset Normal rough in is 12 We had a truss right at 12 and moved the flange to 14 and planned on getting a 14 toilet but those weren’t available during...

Bad bubble flare, cheap tool or..?

I had to make a flare on a line that was on the car , and make a new line I bought the Eastwood hydraulic flaring tool and it is very good tool And we got the good quality nicop line . It’s cheaper than taking the car somewhere and paying someone else to make a new line .

Trying to justify $150k on a new small shop

I would just extend the house to where the retaining wall is . Or as far as the setback will allow That’s what we did . And we had to have a 22 degree bend in the exterior wall to make it stay in the set back And that was with the city approving a setback variance , changing it from 35 feet...

Advice on fixing this plumbing disaster?

I’ve never had any issue with a shark bite that’s installed properly Which requires prepping the end of the pipe and marking the depth on the pipe so you know it’s seated all the way I would not install a shark bite underground or inside a wall , but I’ve never had an issue with one . $12...
