    thanks keith, im gonna stick build the gambrel. my floor trusses have an engineered bearing point at 4' in from each end. at that point i will build a 7 foot wall. my lower part of the gambrel will span from the top of the floor truss to the top of the wall, and then the upper part will go from...

    My Project - Almost Finished

    build a temporary wall on both sides of the beam for support, then you can remove the triple 2x10 0r 2x12....whatever it is.....and do whatever you need to do..

    yea i know....a balcony on a garage is kinda strange....but it will be good access to the loft, to get some of my junk up there

    yes actually i do have a decent view of some distant ridges and mountains, that is until they develope all the land around me......its just a matter of time....ill post a pic of the view

    thats a dam fine looking job! did you do all the work yourself? very clean looking exterior. it accents the house very well! and yes the retaining wall looks great, i was looking at the same product ( split face block) myself , for the wall im gonna need..........great job buddy!
