60 Gal Air Compressor Tank Sprung a Leak! Fix or Replace?

Bought my IMC Bel-Air 5hp 60 gallon compressor new in 2000. Yesterday it sprung a pinhole leak at the bottom of the tank. What scares me is that the leak is not at the drain valve. It's leaking directly through the tank metal. It must have rusted through. Scary stuff. So I drained it and haven't...

Installation of Dayton G73 Heater with Cutoff Switch and Thermostat

Same here, my wall mounted thermostat also just burnt up. Fortunately I was in the garage when it happened. The heater was shuting off before the temp was reached so I went to turn the dial up and heard some crackling from the stat. I immediately shut of the breaker. Opened up the stat and sure...

It's the rear plate that is the issue. It moves rearward approx 2" , the good news for you is this plate can be trimmed back to work. In your case you will need to shave a little more than a 1/2".

Here we go. Got my new Bendpak P-6F

Just to follow up, the Bendpak specs are incorrect. An opening of 78.75" will leave you short. I made the opening 79.75" and it was just enough clearance for the lift when up. See for yourself, Here it is all done. When the weather breaks I will refinish the floor and paint the steel plate...

Here we go. Got my new Bendpak P-6F

The lift is in :) Did have a problem though. The flow divider doesn't work properly :headscrat It won't allow the fluid to return to the tank therefor the lift won't go down. I'll be on the phone with Bendpak tomorrow for sure  Not a major delay in the grand scheme of things. The...

Thanks for the help. I will double check it all again. I did see that thread about the clearance issue when the lift is raised and added an inch to the length of the opening just to be safe

Here we go. Got my new Bendpak P-6F

Yes, couple of reasons. I want it flush mounted so as not to loose floor space when not in use. Also if the lift is flush mounted and you have a car that wont run, you can easily position the car over the lift. Today I spent some time marking out the location of everything. The outer perimeter...
