    Where Fein MultiMaster AFTERMARKET Blades?

Locally here in the Metro Detroit area, I have found the prices for Fein blades vary greatly. Recently, I purchased the "half round" multi purpose blade from an independent tool supply house for about $30.00. At first I thought, wow that's a little high, but I needed it so I picked it up...

Question for you truck brand tool salesmen.

I am not a pro mechanic and have built a good relationship with my local Matco Guy. I meet him a few times a month at one of his regular stops. It all started with a phone call. I never had a problem, my money spends just like anybody elses.

    Fein or Dremel MultiTool?

I recently purchased the Fein Multi-tool and really like it. I have used it a lot since I bought it, it has worked well, and saved me a lot of time. I purchased the model without the quick release and saved about $200. I also checked out the Dremel Multi-tool and thought it was very loud...

    Curious about Snap On Liens

I tried that when I was looking at a used Snap on box and was told by the person at SO that they did not track that info by only serial number.

Matco Franchise = 36% Failure Rate

A while ago I attended a Matco webinar regarding becoming a Matco Dealer. During the presentation, I asked what Matco's separation rate was. I was told that it runs between 12% and 14% a year. Matco said a separation rate of below 16% was considered good for this industry. Matco defined...

Nice gift from a SO dealer

+1... I know dealer pretty well and his margin average is no where near that. Just like in any business, giving out freebies or good deals to customers are not free to the business owner, but just the cost of doing good business.

kr-557 removing front chrome trim instructions?

I will be doing the same soon, so I am interested too. I was thinking of using hard plastic or nylon pry tools and a hammer and tap the trim off. I don't know if this is the best technique, but it is the best I could come up with.

What would you do with this box?

Sell it or restore it, just don't let it go to waste... Items like that are hard to come by.

Can I cut Aluminum on my Wood Bandsaw?

I have a Rockwell (ie older Delta) wood bandsaw that I used to cut aluminum for years. I used as low as 14tpi and high as 24tpi blades with good results on both. I found it depends on how thin of aluminum you are cutting (higher tpi will avoid the blade "snagging" on thin aluminum and bending...

    Kr537 & kr557

Well, you guys finally got to me. After seeing the tool box restoration threads, I got the bug to get started on by own project. So tonight I picked these up... The top is in good shape, ('77 vintage) the only real problem is a dent on the front corner of the top lid. The roller is in real...

    Grizzly Tools

It depends on what you are looking at. It has been my experience that if you buy the equipment that Gizzly advertises as ISO 9001 etc it normally is a good value for the money. But, it is also my experience that some of their stuff is junky. Their customr service is great.
