    The repurposing thread

Nice idea. I bought a Magpul stock and forend to put on my 870. It came with a polymer forend wrench.

    Snapon Warranty Question

I'm 39 years old and I broke a 1/2 combo a couple months back. A 1/2 combo made in 1958. I emailed them, with pics, and just asked if there was a warranty. They responded back with yes, but also needed more info, like where I purchased the wrench. I told them it was a gift. They sent a new one...

    Truecraft sockets?

Thanks for the feedback. These are US made sockets. I wasnt sure whether or not it was a fluke or I had been had lol I normally use a 12 pt socket on this particular plug, but in a different drive. I guess it was just its time to round off.

    Truecraft sockets?

I have a set of Truecraft metric 12 pt sockets in 1/2 drive. I haven't gotten around to using them until today. I mostly use 3/8 drive or SAE around the farm. Well, the 14mm rounded off a drain plug bolt. Had to switch to 3/8 Craftsman 6 pt which had no issues. Was it a fluke, or is there a...

    Re-purposed Snap on handles

No pics, but I took a stubby screwdriver handle, drilled it out, and forced a 3" 3/8 extension into it. Works great in tight places.

looking for a good 3/4 socket set

I'm going to need a 3/4 set pretty soon. I'm just going to pick a reasonably priced Asian set on eBay, toss the ratchet, then buy a decent U.S. ratchet. Whatever socket I end up breaking (if any) will get replaced with better. I may only need it 3 or 4 times a year, no point in spending too much.

    Rebuild kit for C'man RHFT

EBay is pretty much the only option nowadays (as far as I know) for Craftsman repair kits. Spent $20 last week for the only one of its kind that I could find. Rachet really isn't worth it, but it was one of my favorites.

    1/2 long ratchet options

Looks like I got some googling to do. Thanks everyone.

    1/2 long ratchet options

Thanks for the replies thus far. COO is a factor, but not a deal breaker. I own and like Tekton. However, Tekton's long handled ratchet may be too long at 24". I really dont want to spend $40-50 on a new tool and then run it under a chop saw lol.

    1/2 long ratchet options

In the past I had always used older flea market items that I picked up on the cheap. Now that I actually have a place to store my tools (instead of in my truck) I always find an excuse for more tools. Pictured is my Thorsen 1/2 ratchet. I added a few inches to it using an old push mower handle...

Post up your Powr-Kraft and other Wards tools

My very first tool that was all mine. Powr Kraft Japan pliers. My older brother gave them to me when I was about 7 years old. I used them to open up stubborn model paint bottles. Second pic isn't Powr Kraft, but its still in use today on my porch.

    Wrench between 18 and 19mm?

You misspelled Honda...lol I didn't buy it. It was given to me by a relative who can no longer safely ride it. I will go with a used Honda when this one is wore out.

    Wrench between 18 and 19mm?

Thanks for all of the help. I guess I'll buy an 18.5mm socket lol Btw, I got this atv from a family member who had all services done at a Kawasaki dealer. I guess they had the proper socket, as the fill plug isn't damaged in any way.

    Wrench between 18 and 19mm?

Like the title says, I find myself needing yet another tool. Last week I changed differential fluid in my Kawasaki Prairie. The rear fill plug didn't seem to have any size wrench or socket fit. 18mm was too small. 19mm was too big. The plug is located in a slight recess area near my trailer...

Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

Ok, that is badass! Are those 8 or 10 inch? Do they use the original mounting holes?

/32 fractional sockets, any use for them today?

I don't use the sockets really, but I use the wrenches. The hex nut on my hand crank grinder is 25/32. I found a bunch of old carriage and lag bolts in my barn. The square ends on some are 19/32.

Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

I think I watched the same video. I gathered that the guy may have been comparing gen 1 against gen 2, unknowingly. Been a while, so I may be mis-remembering. Regardless, when I bought mine, the blue display model did feel flimsy in comparison.

Any reproductions of the Eagle finger pump oil can?

The copper-colored one is an Eagle. I dont know where or when it was made, but it leaks quite a bit. The little green one isn't marked anywhere, but it works great. Got it from a flea market in non-working condition. It just had a grain of sand in the spout causing it to clog.

Modifications to the HF 4 and 5 drawer service carts - what changes have you made?

I added a ****** Craftsman 4 drawer box to mine. Did have the Craftsman in my Jeep, but I dropped it getting it out. The bottom of it buckled. Took a little effort to make the drawers slide smooth. Its supported on the HF cart with 1" angle iron and self tapping metal screws as placeholders. The...

    Multiple Tool Rigs

I do that with different boxes. There's a farm box that has items I'd use for fence and gate maintenance. Truck box that's metric. Jeep box that's sae and metric. Atv box that has duplicates of some of the farm box, plus other things.
