Picked up this Light heavy weight (close to 300 lbs) Canedy-otto morse taper drill press today, looks to be original paint, zero runout, whisper quiet later craftsman 1/2 hp motor. Need to look at a better drive pulley to match the quill pulley...Can`t find any model or serial numbers but looks...

Motor is just a 1/2 hp dayton...as said nothing special, but what is the advantage of a center pulley...all new to me..?

Looking at this 1959 Delta/rockwell 14 inch bench top, owner wants $275 for it, he said he`s its been thru it all, just a little of runout in it, whats the odds of not finding bearings for it..? Think the price is good or pass....?

My jointer is a delta rockwell 6 inch, early sixties, my table saw is the same as Ryan`s...now just need to find a drill press..

My label holders are aluminum, they tangs protrude thru the sheetmetal and are twisted on the back side to lock them into place, not sure if I want to remove them for painting, not sure if they will take the removal without fracturing the tangs..

Great got it figured out, remove the handle, pull the inner back plate out reveals the rest of the hardware...

RJ, how are you removing the card file label holders and thumb latch knob, these on mine are not accessible, unless I`m missing something...?

I had bought two of those cabinets in 1976, they actually became my tool chest at first, then slowly became the hardware storage..nice to be able to pull the drawers out separately. They were $20 each back then should have bought more...:thumbup:
