I use high temp RTV with Sanderson hedders ( recommended by them and no gaskets) , tried it on chevy ram horn manifolds it worked there as well after doing the same with sandpaper taped to glass...

Same here, been using mine for 30 years, you can do quite a bit with it if you learn how to use it...!

LOL...wow, I`m more confused than ever, probably no comparison here but my old (30 years ) craftsman 19.2 drills are starting to wear out, (torque settings ) so I`m in the market, I`ve resisted all these years to get the latest, newest and replace my dinosaurs til now. :bounce:

HF one for me, picked up at a garage sale, cheap, with bits and collars, works great, now I`ll keep looking for a Kreg..note the brad point bits give a much cleaner hole...

This being half of what I bought at a garage sale, the other half which comprised of a tool box set of metric combination wrenches, channel locks, set of philips and standard screw drivers which I gave to my daughter all for $60 the sockets which were H code full set with breaker bar t handle...

Minwax sells a poly in the can, very fluid, both satin and gloss, I`ve used it (satin ) to retain the vintage look, and it will lock down the splintering worth a test on a piece of scrap.

I keep my shop locked anymore, family members used to come over while I was at work to borrow tools, got tired of tracking them down, (wife had a big part in this) last incident ( when I changed the lock and only I have the key) makita four inch grinder magically walked off, I tore the shop...

Four vehicles get their oil changed by me, taught my daughter and son when they were learning to drive, they still change their own now in their thirties, they heard the horror stories over the years they are happy they are changing their own..

My score last weekend for $20, its to go on a roll around work bench in the plans.

Re: Galvanized meteal cleaning Might try CLR and a scotch brite pad, we use that to clean rust from automotive bodies without removing paint.

My craftsman 19.2 drill is 20 years old (approx), first set of battery's lasted ten years, the new ones not quite as long, need to rebuild them so it's nice to see this thread thanks guys....!
