That's the thing - brand recognition? Harbor Freight is one of the most popular brands in the country. Brand reputation? That's what they need to work on. Tool brands can only gain a reputation for providing heavy duty premium tools if they make and sell such tools, or at least if they try.

Milwaukee's new sets are decent. I also like Bosch's carbide-toothed blades. Yep. Other brands now have carbide blades too, reducing Bosch's dominance, but they've been my go-to as well.

+1 for the Milwaukee. I avoid hex-shanked drill bits when I can, but will use the Milwaukee on occasion for convenience. So far, so good.
