    Tracksaw-Corded or Cordless

Sorry, I confused you for the OP who was trying to decide between corded or cordless. I don't know about that model. Guide rail-compatible saws seem to be a plunge saw-like solution for users who don't really care about plunge cutting or dust collection as much as the lower cost. Bosch has...

    Tracksaw-Corded or Cordless

It's the Makita plunge-cutting saw. https://toolguyd.com/festools-corded-track-saw-obsolete-vs-cordless-2020/ I pulled my cored Festool out over the summer and used both back and forth. Indoors, I could go either way. But I put the Festool back in the basement in its storage space, and the...

    Tracksaw-Corded or Cordless

I own a corded Festool. I have a cordless Makita sample I was sent for review. I use the Makita more. I have a Bluetooth remote on my Festool vac so I can activate it from the hose. It's not as effortless as having a tool plugged into the vac, but it's better than having to go to the vac to...

I need a new cordless drill. Advise please

If you want the newest choices, ALL of the models are going to have keyless chucks and LED worklights. You're going to have to be more specific. Do you want a more compact drill? Or so heavy duty that you need a huge auxiliary handle to prevent wrist damage? Budget? You can get a modern...

    Gray Tools?

From what I'm told, they specify the tools towards needs of heavier duty users, more industrial-focused as opposed to consumer and mid-level automotive users. They seem to be aiming more for Proto Blackhawk and Wright Cougar quality than say Gearwrench. I didn't know that either - thanks! Yep.

    Gray Tools?

About 10 years ago I asked Gray Tools about their USA distribution, looking for something specific, and eventually gave up. 4 years ago, they emailed and said they're opening up new USA distribution channels. I took a look, but it didn't hold my attention. They DMed me on social media today...

    Returning Tools?

It can't hurt to contact the dealer and explain the situation to them. They might not be able to buy it back off of you, but maybe they have a new buyer who is looking to buy something similar right now or in the near future.

Verdict on the HF Service Cart?

I have a Dewalt collapsable work table that I've kept longer than the other workbenches I've tried in the past. But, out comes a square, a t-square if I'm marking for track saw cuts, square for calibrating the blade or fence, pencil, marker, impact, screws, and some other random stuff. And it...

Verdict on the HF Service Cart?

Thank you everyone! No, but I have having *stuff* that doesn't perfectly suit my needs. Stuff that isn't easy to give away ends up taking up space for a very long time. Ooh, I didn't even think of that - thank you! Seems like a good idea I just might borrow!

Verdict on the HF Service Cart?

I know how everyone feels about the 4 and 5 drawer carts, but what about the newish service cart that's regularly $99? What's the verdict on this one? https://www.harborfreight.com/30-in-service-cart-with-drawer-blue-56606.html

the Nepros brand hand tool thread

I received a similar note, politely informing me of potential delays and asking how I learned about the brand. I wonder if we're not contributing to things - those of us in the "uh oh I'd better get my order in now!!!" camp. I've put things off for a few years. I was about to order maybe a...

12” Dual Compound Sliding Miter Saw

With Dewalt, you could use it with corded adapter if needed. Be open about both and watch the sales closely.

"Made in USA with Global Materials": Where it's Actually Made.

It's hard to sort out, but I'm optimistic for that ratio - whatever exactly it might measure - continues to go up.

"Made in USA with Global Materials": Where it's Actually Made.

I should add that this was maybe 10 years ago, and it came from a marketing exec, not an engineer. He might have been trying to placate me with a generalization of some kind. I keep waiting for SBD and Craftsman to want to openly talk about their USA production plans, but that hasn't happened...
