    Vise Handle Mod

One of those Craftsman spinner socket wrenches would work too.

    Packer Ray socket set

I still have the box, and I definitely won't throw them away. When I first saw the rusty box I did think it was just junk. I put them up on a shelf with my Eico tube tester for now. It'll probably be out on the lawn some day after I croak with a $1.00 sticker on it when my wife cleans my...

    Packer Ray socket set

Well, I did a little digging here and on the web, and these seem to be pre-depression, somewhere in the 20's. Doesn't seem to be much demand for them, but they look cool. I wouldn't have tossed them after checking them out though. At first all I saw was a rusty box.

    Packer Ray socket set

Anyone have any info on these things? I was throwing stuff out today and came across a rusty box with this set in it. It was in with a bunch of junk my dad gave me some years ago. I was about to pitch it in the scrap pile before looking closer at it. There were two antique Snap On sockets in...

    Snapon or Craftsman?

When I was your age and started buying tools in the late 70's and early 80's, Craftsman was all the DIYer really needed. It's a crying shame to see what has become of that brand. At 15, I wouldn't recommend running out to buy Snap on stuff unless you have a big trust fund or something, or plan...

3/8 spinner handle that accepts ratchet?

I like the looks of this one. Funny, I didn't need one until I read this thread. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003UWHRSS/?tag=atomicindus08-20 Edit, it doesn't accept a drive tool in the handle.

anybody have 2 sets of tools?

A set at work, a set in the house, a set in the workshop, a set in the other garage, a set for the junkyard, and a small set in my older truck. Oh yeah, a small set at the gun bench too. I hate running back and forth for tools.

Price Increases at Harbor Freight Tool

The prices are going up, but so is the quality. I bought tools from HF when they just had a crappy two page flyer and everything was mail order (pre-internet). That stuff was horrible. The tools they have now are better than what Sears sells today, so why wouldn't the price go up? When I was...
