He’s asking $600 but accepting any reasonable offer. I’m guessing I can get it for 400-500. I’ll see if it’s single phase, but I probably don’t want to get into any serious rewiring anyway. Thanks!

This one is electric. I am concerned out heating and cooling and condensation. Wouldn’t electric tend to dry out the air?

Thoughts on This Type of Shop Heater

I am looking at a used one of these on C/L. I have a fully insulated 30x40 shop with 15’ ceiling. I am looking for something that would bring the shop temp up to 60ish degrees when I’m out there (normal temp in the low 40s during winter). I’m not out there full time, 2-3 days a week, 4-6...

Converting From 3-Wire to 4-Wire Circuit

Please help me out with a electrical question. I am looking at a used electric heater for the shop. It requires 15kW, 208v, 3PH, 41.5 amps and has a 4-wire circuit plug. Please keep in mind that I am an electricity rock. How much work is required/how much should I expect to pay to convert...

    Non-skid for stairs?

I have these On the steps leading up from the garage. I sanded the wood, wiped down with some soapy water, let dry, and applied. The first ones lasted 12 years plus. The smaller strips will be cheaper no doubt. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CTF76GK/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Ditto from me. Love the feel and fit of my “Future Proof” size Large shirt. The new green one is a little too form fitting for me though. Cool shirt, awesome color, but probably won’t become a favorite. Will likely go to my 24 year-old son:)

Floor Jack Junk Yard - Beltsville, MD

The guy with all the jacks was a really nice guy. Owned a towing company back in the day and is a car guy to boot. Real down to earth, not a hoarder, and realistic on pricing. Friend of his who owned a hydraulic repair shop died a while back and he helped his widow clear out the shop. He...

Floor Jack Junk Yard - Beltsville, MD

Scavenged some H-W parts today, including a couple new old stock parts. About 6-8 WS models there in pretty tough shape. He also has a couple of 2-4 ton H-Ws that we’re complete and not too bad. Probably could be had for $20 each.... He said he will probably scrap everything in about 30...

    2 Post Lift placement recommendations

Looks pretty good. I have a similar set up but mine is a little deeper. Are you planning symmetric or asymmetric? You may want to consider pushing the lift further towards the back wall or moving it a little closer to the left wall to give you more room for the car in the right bay. My...
