Hello again, found the next little project...actually a few minutes away from the house on craigslist.. Its a wilton C-1 everything looks pretty sweet so far...the swivel handle have a slight bend to them, but thats not a big issue... overall real nice I think, havent taken it down yet...

thanks not this...no,,, as soon as i finished it I put it up for sale, didnt want to chance messing anything up since its a higher dollar item for me, I am just hobbyist restorer. vises, planes .etc..low money guy...lower money stuff. I just do it cause I cant afford to build cars anymore :)...

yeah I got everything off of it, I turn that screw about 3-1/2 full turns and it stops dead....top is unthreaded in there, smaller diamter not clogged with crud, gotta be the threads..Ill get it out now that I know its supposed to come out :)

Got off the split ring on the screw. I am trying to get the swivel base off, it has large flathead screw in it, it loosens partially and then stops, not sure if that screw is supposd to unscrew all the way, is there a tirick to getting this base off of this vise? hidden pin? It is rather...

Well I finished it...I really like these things, looking for more, they are cool....enjoyable to work on and finish... The guy that bought it is actually gonna use it, I called him cause I thought it might be for display and a little rusting started on a few parts, I thought i was gonna have to...

I am currently restoring a nice Antique Millers Falls Beam Boring machine. I just went to the Country Fair at a local farm/museum and got to use one that a guy had there for people to try, It was quite a coincidence since I had purchased one to restore and had not gotten it yet. Never used one...

the asking price is 75 bucks. This particular vise I would most likely not keep though but see if it needs any work and then probably resell it. That is why I was hoping to find out, maybe its more valuable maybe less. thanks for the input :)

OK, google didnt help me much, maybe the GJ can.. :) This vise is for sale locally, it weighs 80lbs. Handle is 16" long, vise has the number 14 stamped on both halves. The entire 7.5 stationary half is threaded for the screw / handle. jaws are 4.5" + has a nice forward shelf for the movable...

I did think of this as a backup ( not the drill, but the grinder, thanks for this tip, will use it I am sure), but still would like to find correct screws if possible..... wilton sells the horseshoe washer and screws for this vise for relatively cheap all things considered, but all I need are...

Hello all, First time poster here. Restoring a 1972 Wilton Bullet 5" vise. I read on here ( I think) that the 3 bolts (screws) that hold on the horseshoe that retains the main handle screw shaft are 10/32 common hardware type screws.. I am having a hell of a time locating ones that will work...
