let's see your craftsman block grinders

I have two blocks that I would like to trade for comparable round tops. The round tops will fit better we with the rest of my pre-WWII equipment. I am in no rush, as I am not home often. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    "Pre-Block" Grinders--Where's the Love?

Re: "Pre-Block" Grinders--Where's the Love? I prefer the look of the pre-block, but haven't seen as many. I was also pulled to the 1/2 hp rating compared to the 1/3 hp rating. I have been hoping to trade my blocks for comparable round top models. Most of my equipment is pre-WWII...

Give me your thoughts or comments on this old compressor

Being an air conditioning compressor, it will probably make plenty of pressure. I am surprised that there isn't a pressure cutoff somewhere. It could make more pressure than that hose can handle. If you have an application that needs more volume, you can tee in a portable tank to the line...

    resto-mod vintage Sears air compressor

I am interested in seeing the dual setup happen. I have two of the same Craftsman air compressors. One came from my father and another I found later. I went through the one my father gave me, but I need a new tank. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    Benchtop Camelback Drill Press Project

Great restoration and it looks even better after working on the table more. Did you just use 5095 rod and left the table on the drill press to do it? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Metal Cabinets vintage or homemade and no name toolboxes. got any to show please do

Oregon Rock Crusher - amazing work on the chip pan / storage. My lathes are all on the small side, when compared to your Sidney. My Logan 9B is on top of a Lyon cabinet with one big drawer on top and two doors in front of two shelves. The other lathes have no with them storage. Sent from my...

Metal Cabinets vintage or homemade and no name toolboxes. got any to show please do

Drives - I have flown out already and can't get a pic for a while. The insides of these poorly painted cabinets are like most card catalog and file drawers. They have the adjustable sliders to pull up behind the files. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I picked up a Reed 2C to go with my Reed 4C. It's one of those situations where it showed up when I was no longer looking. I bought some equipment from a boat repair shop that just closed and they told me to look around to see what else I was interested in. It is replacing a Wilton 645...

Metal Cabinets vintage or homemade and no name toolboxes. got any to show please do

These are my latest metal file card cabinets. They will get repainted and one of the cabinets needs some repair work on the bottom. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Drives - Those are good looking flat file cabinets. I use mine for manuals, gasket sets, keeping sets of parts together. Are those weld neck pipe flanges to the right of the flat files? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Show us your cool, "old" drill press

Re: Show us your cool, "old" drill press E12-535iTurbo - Yes, the Cataract lathe, Myers drill press, and the shaper are pre WWI. My other machines are all 1950's and 1960's. I plan to add the red back to Myers badge, but I don't think I will polish the brass.

Show us your cool, "old" drill press

Re: Show us your cool, "old" drill press I am still working on this Myers Machine Tool drill press, as time allows. I had 9me casting voids to fill with JB Weld, before repainting. I still need to make the two small pulleys and the shaft for the fast/loose pulley.

Drives - So far the flat files have tools and various parts. I haven't figured out the new layout for my shop. It makes gasket and small part storage easy.
