I found a Plvmb 4515 the other day... missing the wedges and pin, of course. Luckily, the Proto LA 4515 I pulled recently includes all the requisite parts (4516, 4517, and pin). Best regards, John

I'll offer a "mea culpa" on the Disston saws. The -10 Temps in my "shop" have chilled my desire to go outside and work. I have far surpassed the 30 day timeframe but will get them completed once things thaw out a bit!

@honza.vosalik throw a list of your needs up. Just speaking for myself (with the assumption that the following holds true for many others) I've got lots of doubles/triples that may fill some of the holes in your sets. Best regards, John

More than a little late to the plastic-handled driver discussion, but here's a pic with a selection of the aforementioned. I apologize for the headlamp-lighted photo... winter is in full swing here in the Northlands. An odd one found the same day as this photo was taken was this large "E-Z...

That's a beautiful little treasure chest, Don... and the Plomb tower ain't too bad either ('though I readily admit to being primarily enamored of its contents). Best regards and thanks for the additional pictures. V/r, John

Now you're teasing us with pictures of that wooden chest, @d42jeep ! I'm guessing maple and walnut, but can't be sure... Can we see some more? Maybe corner details? (With apologies for the Plomb derail, of course) V/r, John

Let's file this entry under "no, I haven't forgotten, just had a whole bunch of 'life' happen in the interim!" Back at it, though, and here's a "proof of life" photo as evidence.

Now I'm following you! The lamb's tongue is the upturned piece at the bottom of the handle, and the line that appears as a separation between it and the cheek is a line sawn down approximately 1/8" on each side...there is sill a solid 5/8"connecting them. Best regards, John

Thank you, @Half-fast eddie . If you are referring to the lamb’s tongue, it appears the sculpting has accomplished its purpose… which is to look like a separate piece while still firmly attached to the bottom of the cheeks. On the other hand, if you’re referring to some other area (I’m not...

While things were going along rather well, I decided to completely change directions due to a couple of relatively minor fitment issues. The new handles are purpleheart with a tiger maple top stripe.

I might have to look into that stuff... I've got a couple of planes that are looking a bit raggedy. On the saw-resto front, yesterday was at least semi-productive. I started the day looking like this ...and ended with this. Best regards, all.

That's a Long C Craftsman which would be referred to as a No. 5 if within the Stanley number system... and it is doing nothing more than propping those boards up for a photo. I few moments prior, however, it was flattening the thinner piece of walnut now reclining against its sole.
