1988 Snap-on Socket 1/4 dr. TTW12 What was it for?

That led me to these which looks about right. Never seen these anywhere, let alone on a carb, but not a professional wrench by any means. Tri-Groove This unique round head with three side grooves provides high security. Tri groove screws are difficult to grab with standard pliers and require a...

1988 Snap-on Socket 1/4 dr. TTW12 What was it for?

Got this socket on a rail with some 1/4 drive carb adjust sockets. It's a new one to me. Dated 1988. It has 3 bars that would fit over a cone shape. I see a couple on ebay for sale, but no clear idea where it would have been used. Anybody recognize it?

    What is this Craftsman doo-hickey?

Any ideas on what this Craftsman plastic thing is? If it was a baby sized crutch, the part that goes in the armpit is lop sided. Everything else is symmetrical.

    Show Your Vintage Utica Tools!

First one of these I have run into. Utica Loc-Rite. Awfully long handled wrench for 7/32 x 1/4. No evidence of chrome, so I guess was industrial finish. I appreciate how deep the stamping is.

Hey Rickster, I've not seen that puller before. I see it is stamped Chicago. Any model numbers? Could it be pre-Snap-on? Good on the Craftsman stuff as well. The Ebay Craftsman craze is continuing, albeit a little more selective I think.

Is "Flat Ratchet" the correct name for craftsman wrench 42602? 4 Sizes in one.

First thing I noticed about this wrench is that the 12 point box inserts are beefier than a normal laminated wrench. Internet search this model number brings up two sale listings referring to it as a "flat ratchet" Is that a for-real name, or a made up thing? The inserts appear to be a single...

There is a local estate sale company that has developed a reputation for intentionally pricing items beyond fair market. At the end of the sale, they low ball the owners who just really want to empty the house, & buy out the lot. They then take it back to their own brick & mortar location to sell.

Yes, I haven't tried to remove those yet to see what that's about. Original, or some type of trick to get the jaws to align. And I think you are correct about Rock Island. (I am a vise neophyte) The base clamp design would be a tell, yes? As well as the jaws being channeled.
