    Swamp Coolers

Thanks for the suggestions and info guys. I am glad I didn't jump on getting a swamp cooler and plan on NOT getting one now. I will take the advice given here and go with a packaged heat pump type unit if I can find one. He said I could probably find a used unit that will still work just fine...

    Painting Brick

I am now to the point that I need to paint the interior and exterior brick of my 3000 Sq Ft shop. The interior walls are bare grey brick. The exterior is already painted and flaking off but I will be power washing all/most of it off since it's very old and comes off easy. What kind of primer and...

VCT Tile - durability under turning

If you have an uneven spot in the floor or a crack from a high spot, will it cause major problems with VCT tile? I am looking for some kind of way to do something with 3000 sq ft of flooring in my shop but not sure if I should use porcelain, vct, race deck (doubt it because it would be well over...

Tips and opinions for fixing concrete damage prior to epoxy (pics)

Hmm, I may look into the Epoxy Coat. Seems that after I do this, grind my floor, properly clean it and then paint it I am looking at a ton of money for 3000 sq ft. I may look into just porcelain tile or something for most of my floor and then just epoxy 2 car bays instead. May not be much more...

    Swamp Coolers

A buddy and I are going to look into finding a packaged heat pump setup and going to look into installing it ourselves. He is a certified HVAC guy and said it can be done in a day if I help him out. We are going to look into a 3-4 ton unit. Supposedly what i have outside is the condenser and...

    My Racedeck Floor

Looks great! I like the red border. I'd love to do this stuff in my 3000 Sq Ft shop, how much is it per sq ft for the same thing you used? Are you using the 18X18 size tiles?

Tips and opinions for fixing concrete damage prior to epoxy (pics)

I am very glad I found this thread. I have about 500 sq ft of chipped up concrete like this that just pops all over and dusty as hell. This Legacy stuff looks killer but very expensive to do as much as I need. Would the self leveling concrete from Lowes work for something like this? Great job btw!

    Swamp Coolers

I read about that and was wondering what else I can do then. I am already washing cars inside so humidity will be high and I need an alternative to get rid of the humidity and A/C would have been perfect but seems like it may be way too expensive...

    Swamp Coolers

I have read a few threads here about cooling shops, etc with all sort of alternatives including swamp coolers. I am in need of A/C in my 3000 sq ft shop but not sure what to do since I do not have thousands to install a new unit. Currently there is a huge outside box unit which I assume houses...

    What are your COOLING ideas?

Big improvement is attic fans. My father owns a roofing company and installs a lot of these during the summer and he said they make a big difference in keeping the heat out of the upper portion of the house which in turn saves on your A/C bill. I know he installed a few in his last house and I...

    My Shop Build!

I am starting this thread to show my progress on my shop I recently got about 3.5 months ago. The first 2 months it was used to store my cars, parts and tools while I waited on getting zoning permits, sign permits, etc. I am still awaiting these permits but they should be reviewed and finalized...
