    Ratchet and Socket Drawer.

My main socket ratchet drawer, as a DIY'er. I keep my impact sockets in the plastic case they came in, and I keep my finer ratchets in a humidor at 68% humidity (that is a joke)

Please, Apex Tool Group, tell me this is not happening...

lol, "maybe" may be an understatement. seems like you were 100% wrong about what you were spouting as the truth, but i guess that is the age we are living in....

Please, Apex Tool Group, tell me this is not happening...

Where do you get that from? Everything I've ever read was that Cooper and Danaher had a joint venture in Apex, but I've never read that Danaher owned Cooper. Please post a link where that is stated...

Please, Apex Tool Group, tell me this is not happening...

i think most would consider Crescent = Cooper, Armstrong = Danaher. The last few years where they went under Apex and then they began moving to China and killing off brands, those aren't the "years" we like to remember.

Urrea tools make me think of Urethra, and then I get grossed out.

    Malco Eagle Grips not dead?

sounds like they produced a whole bunch of them that they had not sold yet, or they are still making them, or the sales are so bad that even with the notice of no future availability, they still aren't moving.

I finally picked up a DCF923. I have wanted one for a while. It came with a promotion 4ah battery. Wasn't the greatest deal, but it was good enough for me. I also got a few Armstrong pieces from Cripe, not that I needed any more extensions.

    Astro Nano Sockets

I'm not really sure why you quoted me to say this. if Home Depot orders a product from a supplier that had a deal with another entity regarding that product, how is Home Depot in the wrong? Seems like Home Depot should not be getting any **** in this to me, it should be the supplier or the...

    Astro Nano Sockets

I have the Husky version of these. I certainly don't know (or care) about the history of these sockets, but it seems like everything that is China or Taiwan made now you can buy 25 different versions of for a wide spectrum of prices. It seems like if you are the originator/designer and in a...

What would you put today in a hand-assembled roadside tool kit for a truck or car?

Batter booster pack, tire plug kit/compressor, a couple pairs of locking pliers to pull nails/screws from tires, and maybe some zip ties.

How about another Craftsman USA sneak peek?

Six years after SB&D bought the Craftsman name and said they would be bringing back USA made tools, we now have a picture of a single USA made socket. Six years, one socket.

Anyone still rocking a brushed impact driver?

all of the people who bought the multi-piece tool kits that didn't realize they were chock-full of old model brushed tools, which is why those "deals" aren't much of a deal after all

Sentimental tools you keep around but would normally toss

I have a Rubbermaid tub with all of my old overflow tools in it that I have all of my old Craftsman screwdrivers in. Every time I open it, I nearly puke from the smell. The smell would gag a maggot. I don't know why I keep them, but I can't seem to throw them away.

Looking to Add some Versatile Wrenches

I recently got the Kabo Icon/Mountain wrenches. I hate the spline instead of a normal 12 point. It gets locked up on things easily. I also hate the direction lever. I was using one today in a tight spot and with each ratcheting movement, it would hit the lever and change the direction on it...

Will Matco 88 Tooth Ratchet Internals Fit In A Gearwrech 90 Tooth Ratchet?

I think the compatibility of the matco/gearwrench/armstrong/craftsman ratchets is limited to the 60, 84 & 88 tooth ratchets

    Tekton Price Increase Notification

I agree with Lt. Cheg about Gearwrench going to poop. I picked up some Chinese made Gearwrench wrenches to fill in the gaps in my metric set. They were very poor quality compared to my older made in Taiwan Gearwrench tools. Here is an example of one from before I returned them.

How to transport a big tool box (for those w/o a truck)?

show up with cash and a small car to a sympathetic seller. at least, that is how the last person I sold a tool box to got it moved to their house for free.

New Line of USA Manufactured Screwdrivers From Mayhew

I bought a set of the Tekton screwdrivers to support USA made tools. I gave them to my dad after I received them. I saw him using them once, so I guess he thought more of them than I did. I'm trying to be nice here, so I'll just say that after discovering Vessel screwdrivers, it would take a...
