What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Replaced a grease fitting in a piss poor spot on the tractor. On the main shaft and can only be accessed when the shaft is facing up, otherwise no grease coupler will work (not even a right angle fitting). Replaced it with a 90-degree grease fitting to get it straight on with a regular grease...

    Free lights

I got a bunch of free troffers when I was rewiring my garage. I pulled the bulbs and ballasts and put in the ballast-bypass LED bulbs. No regrets.

    SILICON BRONZE TIG WELDING

I like silicon bronze on steel or for dissimilar metals, but I much prefer aluminum bronze on AC for cast iron.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I don't own one, but I've used one and was not a fan. Way too big and clunky. A soldering iron should be light and nimble. I use a PowerProbe butane torch for any mobile soldering, as well as for heat shrink tubing and connectors. I would never trade it for a battery iron. If you really want...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I've had the original M12 rotary tool for a few years. I've never really heard anything bad about it. The stock collet was junk so I threw it out on Day 1 and put a Dremel brand collet on it, it's been flawless ever since.

25% off Milwaukee Packout - Runnings in store only

I love Runnings. I was just there today buying hydraulic fluid and didn't think to walk past the Milwaukee section. I'll have to stop again tomorrow on my way home and see. Our store has been open for several years so there's certainly no grand opening event here.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Only thing I did in the garage was unload a metal shelving unit from mom's house. Put it in a temporary spot for now. It'll be perfect for oil, filters, and other fluids. Need some good spring weather so I can pull some stuff outside and reorganize the inside more easily.

    Water Supply???

100% true. We had a bunch of galvanized here and it started leaking last winter so I replaced it all with PEX. I'll see if I have any pictures I took of the galvanized pipe. There were sections of the 1/2" pipe you couldn't fit a pencil through. Not to mention the pink/red rust stains in our...
