side cutt4rs klein (blue) or channelock?

I have one pair of the Channel lock brand and three of the Kliens. The Kliens are more expensive but something about the shape of the handles. The handle and the size just fit the hand better and work better. They both seem like they cut the same. It’s just how they feel in the hand.

Time to buy an impact wrench. Air or Battery powered?

I also saw a nice display at a farm store of the DeWalt hand tool line up. I thought they looked like a pretty solid line up. Didn't look at the ratchets as above closely. So I cant say, but thought the wrenches looked nice. Still I think it is a little weird for Stanley to also try to do so...

    Insulate second floor

If it is going to be finished room above where a guest might stay, or if its a room to hang out and watch tv. Like a movie room, then yeah insulation is a good thing. Rooms above garages are almost always cold due to the overhead garage door below. Even if the OH door is insulated, they still...

Welding on a new aluminum trailer.

The strongest aluminum trailers are actually bolted together. Just look at the aluminum frames on over the road heavy trucks. They’re bolted where they need to be instead of welded. Doodads get welded on, structural members get bolted.
