    3/8 6mm impact socket ... do I need?

Definitely worth having 3/8 6/7mm sockets around imho it's more convenient to use your already out 3/8 tools to get the odd hose clamp etc. I'd only go impact over chrome to make it match

    Buried Padlocks

Not OP but my department has lots of low to the ground bits of padlocked equipment, other departments don't always care about our if/when they're moving dirt around. Or they're just in a low point that gets filled by dirt washing in after it's rained

1/2" to 1/4" Square Adapter Socket

I do wonder how a 1/4" insert into a socket similar to an Allen key socket would fair.

Ratcheting Wrenches that stay on top of the bolt head or nut

Was thinking the same, I've used those (in the sidcrome flavour) and imho they've split the balance between hanging onto the nut and being annoying when you don't want it to be. These look like they'd hang onto the fastener better at the cost of being more annoying when you don't want that.

    Tools of Japan

Doesn't aviation tend to be 12 points? Be interesting if we get some 12 points Z series sockets.

Side eyes my 20kg backpack of automotive tools, it's amazing how quickly how heavy it gets.

Same, tho it does tend to annoy my partner. Admittedly it helped buying her a nice(ish) set of hex keys

    Drill indexes

In fairness they're also not that cheap in metric countries either. You've really got got to be keen to want more than 0.5mm increments, I'd rather buy them individually or get a nice set that includes taps and the relevant drill bit.

What crimper is used on these **** connectors?

    >I don't buy the uber expensive ones like some of you guys. I've got a bunch of eBay alerts set up, I've managed to snap a few good bargains. Still not cheap but also they make life so much nicer

What crimper is used on these **** connectors?

I'd be tempted to yeet the locator so you can just slide the crimper over to the other side. I get the use of them but for splice connectors I'm not surprised they're in the way (tho given the price point can you swap it over to the other side to have a left and right handed set).

What crimper is used on these **** connectors?

I suspect it doesn't help that there's also been a significant push towards ratchet style crimpers for anything more mission critical, doesn't leave as much market space for high quality non ratchet stuff.

    MAC RBRT wrenches….Are they ****?

I've got some of the sidcrome flavoured ones, they're the 467's so ratchet 12 points. They've been pretty good from what limited use I give them, I really like that sidcrome does in a spanner roll

    Wrench Extenders….Anyone use one?

Was wondering how they compare to the good ole cheater pipe tho that does require a single ended spanner

    Has anyone EVER used a 16mm or 18mm wrench/socket?

Not having worked on any cat stuff made this century are they metric these days or still mostly imperial fasteners?

    Has anyone EVER used a 16mm or 18mm wrench/socket?

Filling the otherwise empty spot in my tool box is an important role. They also are occasionally useful as seal or bearing removal/installation tools
