    milwaukee 3/8 impact which one?

I’ve actually been using the 2554 (Stubby 3/8”) for swapping wheels at autocross events. Doesn’t take up much room, little to no hammering removing lug nuts, and on Mode 1 I can zip the lugs back on without fear of being too tight. (about 1/8 turn remaining with a torque wrench) I’ve used it on...

Icon tools are coming spring/summer 2019

Same here, took the 1/4 flex back b/c it was locking up, and yes they should be recalled too. The flex’s internals just have a poor design. Sent from my iPad using The Garage Journal mobile app

Returned the 1/4” Flex Head (R1FG) yesterday for a refund. It was locking up in the same manner as they say the 3/8s were. Almost no use either, definitely not abused, lubed w/Super Lube. I’m actually a tiny bit disappointed as I liked it much better than my GW 120XP. Better finish, handle feel...

$119.99 so about the same price as the Tekton 6pt Stubby Reversible. GW is only around $75 but non-reversible, Williams look to be around $120-$140. Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

Icon tools are coming spring/summer 2019

Stopped by my local HF today, they had some in the back but wouldn’t sell (or even open) them. The other HF close to me had several boxes and gladly let me look through what they had... no ratchets but plenty of wrenches and sockets. Not much to add that hasn’t already been said or shown, other...

    decent bit socket selection?

I’ve got this set from Capri and I’ve been happy with it. Chrome looks nice and overall quality is higher than I expected... granted I’m a non-professional, but they’re better quality than box-store brands or other Gearwrench I own. Capri Tools CP30004 S2 Star Torx And External Socket Bit Set...

It was from JB Tool Sales - the only reason I didn’t mention it earlier is because they showed it back at full price within a few minutes of ordering it. I wasn’t very confident it’d actually show up b/c I thought the price might have been a typo... they never said anything about it though and...

Who makes stubby wrenches with satin finish

Sonic has some, but metric only and the smallest set they have is a little pricey. Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

Sonic Tools had some sets on promo over the holidays for over half off... picked up a Metric and SAE combination set and some panel tools/hooks/scraper. 6-24mm and 1/4”-1 1/16” without any skipping. The satin finish on the wrenches looks much nicer than I expected, much better in person than in...

    Milwaukee Power Tools Deal Permathread

My local HDs all said they have them in stock... except they don’t, because HD for some reason has the same Store SKU for both the 2112-21 and 2112-21P. Says they have “4 in stock” of the -21P online at a particular store but really they just have the -21 (no extra battery).

Another vote for Ernst. I like that you can remove a single rail and take it to wherever you are working.

^^^THIS^^^ I love the Auto Shut-Off Mode on the Stubbies, wish the Ratchets had it too. I just picked up the FUEL version 1/4" Ratchet but haven't had a chance to use it yet. Curious to see if it kicks back like the brushed 3/8" does sometimes.

Where’d you see that? Went by HD in Nashville to pick one up and they’re up to $139.
