    Favorite Craftsman ratchet

I'm not really a fan of the RP ratchets, but have one of these that's never let me down. Have a buddy that's a oilfield equipment mechanic, and he says his sees daily use and holds up about as well as anything else in his box.

Are Klien tools worth buying ?

My background is more telecom than electrical, but Klein is well represented in my toolbox. Great tools for the price, even if they’re not the prettiest.

    AmazonBasics Jack Stands

Anyone try these? Not really in the market for more jack stands but happened upon these. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0753MMRN7/?tag=atomicindus08-20 Looks almost exactly like a pair of Craftsman 3-ton 'high lift' stands I have. I like the flat surface where they meet the ground.

    Husky 30 Gallon air compressor

I have that exact compressor, and I love it. It runs my impact really well, and used it to stain my fence. One of my favorite tool purchases. I’d love a big oiled compressor, but don’t have the space or really need for it. The Husky does the jobs I need it to.

    Best "Quality" cordless weed eater?

Best lawn purchase ever. Run TruFuel And you’ll have no issues. Ethanol gas kills outdoor power equipment.

Craftsman RP pear head ratchets, an inherently poor design or victim of cost cutting?

I have a few. The 1/2 inch ones have been fine (possibly even good), but the 3/8 and 1/4 ones are ****.

    I don't get it

Last I checked the only adjustable wrenches made in the USA were Western Forge. Most higher end adjustables are made in Spain. Irega makes great adjustables.

Is Harbor Freight getting too big for its britches?

Agreed. When Sears was a formidable company, tools were but a small part of it. That’s not how they got rich. They got rich from being the place where you could buy a wrench, a refrigerator, a shotgun, a pack of fruit of the looms, a tv, a mower, and a bbq put in a single visit. Then...
