anyone have a grey floor with red chips?

I think 25% is too heavy for red. My full flake floor has 3% red, and I think it's about right.

Epoxy-Coat fumes hazardeous w/ closed garage?

I haven't used Epoxy-Coat, but put down 100% solids epoxy in my garage with just the side entry door open and didn't have any problem. Unless you're very sensitive, I doubt you'd need a respirator during epoxy application. The smell/fumes on mine weren't anything worse than latex house paint...

    My Epoxy Floor Installation

Thanks all. As far as cost, coating materials were right at $2/fto and chips $1.16/ft. In hindsight, I could've got by with around 3/4 of the chip I had, but could only get it in 55 lb boxes. I could have saved around 300.00 if Torginol would have sold chips to me, they wouldn't sell to DIYer.

    My Epoxy Floor Installation

Finished up the floor over the weekend. After reading every epoxy post on here over the last 7-8 months, I didn't run into any real surprises or problems. Used a notched squeegee (sort of...) and 18" rollers to apply to 600 Square Feet. Cut in with chip brushes and smaller rollers when...

    My Epoxy Floor Installation

I've been lurking for months and thought I would post on my in-progress floor. I'm using Tnemec products and a full broadcast of chips: 201 Primer 237 Power Tread Basecoat 284 Epoxy Clearcoat 295 Polyurethane To date I have done stemwalls and tornado shelter doors. So far, so good...

Epoxy Clears vs Polyurethanes top coats

If you want that deep look, you need a deep (thick) layer of clear. Probably with a thick layer of clear epoxy, topped with polyurethane. You could do multiple coats of polyurethane, but it is expensive and goes on thin compared to epoxy. You want to top with poly for its toughness/durability...

Epoxy floor primers/ polyurethane top coat?

Scott, I haven't used them, but I don't think you can't go wrong with Legacy's products. What is "better" probably depends on what type/brand of Epoxy you're using. You might check with the manufacturer to see what they recommend as far as primers. If you do something differently than what...

    Baseboard/finishing options

I used some toeless wall base, since in some places my stemwall juts out from the wall and in some places is flush. I think in looks OK.

Garage Stem Walls - What to do

I'm in the middle of my floor project, but rather than trying to epoxy the walls at the same time as the floor, I used the Supercoat stuff from Sam's Club for the walls. I'm doing a full broadcast of chips so color matching isn't so much of a issue. Even so, it was pretty difficult to get...
