Thanks Brewchief - it's good to get an experienced installer's perspective. I'm about convinced to keep the control cable with the lineset. I'm sure I don't want to bury the drain in the wall, and if it's got to run outside, I might as well run the lineset and control cable outside as well...

One other followup: To provide the "service receptacle", some disconnects (Siemens WF2030GFCI, for example) provide a 15a or 20a GFCI mounted in, but not wired in the disconnect box. Can these be fed from the same feed to the disconnect as the A/C power, or do I need to run a separate circuit...
