Any reviews on the new Harbor Freight "pittsburg pro" impact sockets?

I've used them at work for a few months. Tried to brake the 1-1/4" with a 1000lb impact, with no luck. I was a bit surprised they held up so well, as I've killed hiEnd name brands with the same impact gun. http://www.harborfreight.com/13-Pc-12-in-Drive-SAE-Impact-Socket-Set-67918.html

I Angle Grinded my Head in Half

I'm amazed that there's not a whole lot more of these stories. I work with a lot of old timers that are set in there unsafe ways. I find the young guy are unsafe and the old guys are unsafe, but the 28~53 are by far the safest workers.

    German Micrometers?

Love my Mahr Federal, Starrett, B&S and Mitutoyo. They all work great. Really no big difference between them. The B&S is the least accurate, but most durable, it's also the oldest @ 15 years(these are digital calipers). As for old school mic's, I like the Starretts best.

Why are American's tool boxes so big?

Could be because in America we have a lot more choice's in Auto brands, machine brands, Metric/Standard/Whitmore. Most other places have a single system(metric), and also few brands of everything. So the easy way to put it, is more tools for more stuff.

What do you think of SK? Old or New?

SK use to be el' cheapo, but they went pretty high end in the 80's. I've found there later stuff to be every bit as good as other hi-end tools.
