Alternatives to the "Red Lube of Love" for ratchets

I've been using Hyperlube for about 20 years. Works great for assembly lube, and for ratchets. http://www.hyperlube.com/c3/Oil-Supplement-c6.html

Sears Could Be Gone If Slump Lasts Through Christmas

They will only fail if they choose to fail. They own 1000's of buildings and inventory. The internet should have raised there profits, not lowered. They need a radical change in management.

Matco & ratchet experts, help me solve a mystery!

Not sure what your speaking of, but I posted this link a week back, and mine showed up today. I can say this is a fine ratchet! Indexing is smooth and precise, and has a very smooth 72 tooth ratchet head. It's sooooo nice, a may just buy one more!:thumbup...

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

I run some HFT in my box, mostly(if not all), there Taiwan stuff, as I find it to be as high of quality as my USA stuff. I use there Pittsburg Pro impacts, and 1/2 inch drive hex sockets(at $30. per set, there not exactly cheap).

Armstrong Indexable 1/2 ratchet for $45.

I'm not seeing your math, as the link you posted is $20. higher, or 35% more.

Armstrong Indexable 1/2 ratchet for $45.

    Multimeter

Green lee has some meters made by Brymen. They are very good for the money. There's a Green lee DM-510A that I found as low as $65. off Ebay. Lifetime warranty for as long as the model is current. It's better than any fluke for the money. Believe me, I have 9 Flukes. Flukes are good meters...

I spent 40K building a garage so I could fill it with HF junk

Maybe they have no choice on the garage build, because of codes, permits, and inspections. And they may not know the difference in tools. If I used my tools a couple of times a year on a bicycle, I may not spend a whole lot on tools.

    Impact sockets

I like my 1/2 shorts. I ran a 1-1/4" with a 6 ft cheater on a 3 ft braker bar. We got close to 2 ft of flex, and when the nut broke lose, folks could hear the crack about 200 ft away. Socket still looks new(I've only had the set for a week) So far so good.

What do you think about these Craftsman ratchets?

I had a 1/4 semi freeze up, but it turned out the gear was egg shaped. I just returned it, as I like my desalt 1/4 taiwan ratchet. I did get a 1/2 Premium thats the cats meow! I opened it up, did some light de-burring, and lubed it with some very light grease. Works better than any ratchet to...

Thank you.:) And I know these days, most new members of any forums are seen as troll like, until he/she proves different.

WOW! Whats gone wrong in America?

If everyone just used the search function, the forums would be very inactive. I was just sharing my findings. I never stated I was the first to notice imported tools. Thanks for the definitions, I'm glad to see I'm not a troll.

WOW! Whats gone wrong in America?

Seems like IPO's and bean counters helped destroy American tools, and maybe even America as a whole(time will tell).

WOW! Whats gone wrong in America?

Over the years I've found other brands that look 100% identical to the 90's HD wrenches. Some of the older Blackhawk's come to mind. And I think some of the Allen brand from 8~10 years back, look to share the same mold.

WOW! Whats gone wrong in America?

Montana sounds like a nice place. When I retire, a may move there, if Nevada gets too full.:)

WOW! Whats gone wrong in America?

You are correct to a point. A lot of the younger guys don't know the difference. When I first got in the craft(about 28 years back), if someone brought imported tools on a job, they would be laughed off the job site, and there tools would be vanished in the nearest hole. I did not agree with...
