All block work and plumbing is done. Should be backfilling with gravel on Monday and pouring slab on Tuesday. Only hold up right now is the truss manufacturer. They should have them ready to arrive on the 20th of September.

Rebar went into the footings but the slab will have wire with fiber fill. All blocks will be filled.

Ground was broken on Tuesday along with concrete for the footers and today they started laying the block.

Plans are actually to add another 24'x24' wood working area onto the back of the building when funds recover from this build. The porch was the wife's idea as she wants to add a pool to that side eventually. (Totally against my will but I had to agree to get the go ahead on the garage.)

I think there is still a Kenda Loadstar in the 6.00-9 tire size. I have some on a piece of farm equipment. They are load range c tires I believe. Not exactly the same tread but not a fork lift tire either.

So how is the wood working space upstairs working out for you? I have been thinking about doing the same but don't know if I would enjoy moving equipment, lumber, and projects up and down the stairs. I do like the idea of being able to put all of my dust ports/electrical in the floor though...

What kind of insulation are you using? Is it the bubble wrap style or foam sheets....hard to tell from the pictures.
