    Quick update on getting the Reed 405 swivel base 'unstuck', it worked! Thanks for everyone's input, now onto the swivel jaw! Oh by the way I did break a drag link socket in the process lol!

    Yeah I tried heat, but I might not have heated it enough. I have it sitting in vinegar right now, and so i'll try it again.

    Yes exactly, I just picked one of these up. I have let it sit in vinegar overnight, and I will try this out with an air wrench.

    Yes thats a great idea, I was trying a air hammer chisel in a hammer drill, but that didn't work. I'll definitely try the drag link socket.

    Yes, i forgot to mention that I did clamp a hand vise grip on to it and knock it with a hammer but that didn't work either. That is a great idea about soaking it in a vinegar bath. I'll give that a try!

    Here is a spindle handle I make for a Wilton #400, it will work on a Wilton C1 and #450 I believe as well. It is 11/16" in diameter x 10.5" long, so it will fit any vise with that size diameter handle. www.midwestshopsupply.com

    Hey all, i'm looking for a little help here. I've got a Reed 405 with a swivel base center pin that is stuck. I've tried hitting it with Kroil, i've soaked it in evaporust, i've soaked it in PB blaster, all to no avail. Anyone have a suggestion?

    No it is a custom washer welded on, and then machined over.

    Yes I machine the ends to capture the handle, i have found this is the best way to get consistent results. I have them on my website at www dot midwestshopsupply dot com

    Yes that definitely do work, and no i don't recommend a washer under them. I sell them on my website you are in need of any.

    Yes I do make these parts, basically I wasn't sure the specs on the dynamic jaw because i've never seen one before. So Auotparts bailed me out on it. I have tried, but I got banned from this site when it did it about a month ago. GJ told me not to advertise anything so I'm scared to do it...

    Hey All, i'm wondering if anyone here can help me with when this Charles Parker No.87 vise might have been manufactured? I got a replacement dynamic pipe jaw from Autoparts, and i'm really pleased with how this vise functions!
