Table Saw and Router Plate Distance Question

Assuming you mean the router? Good point Like to get more infeed on the saw but but would make it difficult to access the controls. Might make extensions to the front and left side of the saw for wider crosscuts maybe hinged but certainly easy/on off

Table Saw and Router Plate Distance Question

I see your table is wider than deep. I can't arrange mine like that so I think I will just move the router 6 feet back. Still a lot of design work to go.

Table Saw and Router Plate Distance Question

Early design phase of custom work bench. Currently have Dewalt table saw (it's what I have) and a router plate about 21-1/4" apart on the 4 foot end of the table. Is this something I will regret? It's a Jessem Mastr lift and plate. I am also showing a downdraft dust box for the router. My intent...

    Retractable Air Hose Reel Recommendations

A manual wind probably wouldn't work well for me since with my current facilities I have to mount it high so not readily accessible but I understand the benefit of simplicity.

    Retractable Air Hose Reel Recommendations

How many tools do I leave for my estate sale? lol Is a comparison of a 30 year product valid for todays models?

    Retractable Air Hose Reel Recommendations

They are pricey and have a solid reputation. Thanks for reminding me of that brand

    Retractable Air Hose Reel Recommendations

Covered but unheated garage in New England needs a retractable pneumatic hose reel. Intermittent use for both wood and auto work in sometimes humid conditions. Have a decent three stage dryer/filter Probably just get new hose with it since most come that way, minimum 50 feet and a hose that...

    International Tool Chest Drawer Slides

Back in 2011 I bought an International Tool chest set and I need some replacement drawer slides. 20/2009 is stamped on them. These are attached without screws or other hardware. Does anyone know a source for replacement drawer slides maybe a little heavier duty if available? I have reached out...

    Shoulder Bolt/Pin and catch plate?

I want to make a custom gate attachment for my deck (PVC gate and railing filler for a wide opening) that is readily removable using metal pins (like a shoulder bolt) and a catch plate receiver (with a keyhole) that I can lift off the posts as needed. I just want to know what these things are...

    Chainsaw Questions- 80V Greenworks

Measured flatness of bar and it's within a few thousands of an inch over 18" length, no visible burrs or pinching in the track. This is what I do for tension. that may be a tiny bit looser than last I adjusted for cutting last time but very close. This was assembled for the picture

    Chainsaw Questions- 80V Greenworks

I have verified oil flows to the bar with and without a chain installed. I refilled oil once while there still some in the tank but I was a little surprised how much I needed to add. Hard for me to be precise but I would be surprised if I have a total of 30 minutes of chain actually moving...

    Chainsaw Questions- 80V Greenworks

I will try to get pics tomorrow. First chain of course was the one provided wit the saw. Replacements were these from AMZ below. Bar is the stock one that cam with the saw. No visible damage but I will measure flatness tomorrow with pics if I can...

    Chainsaw Questions- 80V Greenworks

I have visually inspected the groove in the bar and no visible dents or pinching. I can measure it more accurately than a visual. I have lightly sanded the sliding surfaces with fine sandpaper. I can freely move the chain on the bar without any indication something wrong but again my experience...

    Chainsaw Questions- 80V Greenworks

I have tried soaking in bar/chain oil and then PB Blaster. After that gripped with two needle nose pliers to no avail. Price for a few chains is worth learning the lesson.

    Chainsaw Questions- 80V Greenworks

Understood but I am just a homeowner that only cuts enough per week to fit in my 5-1/2 foot Taco bed. Once I cut enough for 4 loads but still was only 20 cuts on 4" max branches, mostly brush

I see dremel has a kit to sharpen chains. Have a better recommendation?

    Chainsaw Questions- 80V Greenworks

Seems to cut well pretty much up to the time I see smoke I have seen the discoloration but it looked like the temper was "annealed" away. I am considering sharpening but half of the chains have a link or two seized so sharpening won't help I will keep my tip out of the dirt and see if that...

    Chainsaw Questions- 80V Greenworks

Performed that test and get the light oil spray The chain seems to be oily unless it's been cooked Pretty much exactly how I set the tension I have done that and checked tension after a few minutes of cutting. I usually need a small adjustment with a brand new chain I haven't tested with...
