Does it have a cap on the rear that can be removed?

    Sand Blasting . . .

If you have a need to blast larger parts, your setup is the way to go. Otherwise, smaller parts that fit in a blasting cabinet make the cabinet a much more enjoyable experience. It's also so much easier and faster to blast a small part since everything is set up and ready to go. I do agree...

Got a used compressor 80 Gallon 2stage compressor , drained over 40-50 gallons of water from it,transported on its side durig transport. Some questions

Given how long that compressor had to run over the years in order to accumulate that much water makes me wonder how much life is left in that compressor. Given the pictures supplied by the OP, it doesn't exactly look like a commercial unit. OP, I sure hope you got that thing for like $50.

Hot vs. Cold pressure washer advice

Uline isn't Grainger. They actually have reasonably priced items.

recommendations for scissors for blister packs

The guy doing the demo at Costco cut a penny in half with these. Seems a clamshell would be like a hot knife through butter. And at $141 they are priced right for the GJ crowd. Cutco Super Shears

    Maxjax wont lift level

Mine has always done that. Sometimes when lifting I'll set it down on the auto lock then start again. I only do that once for a full lift. Skamp posted on here about installing a flow control valve that allowed him to adjust the flow rate to the lift cylinder. It allowed him to dial in the...

Hot vs. Cold pressure washer advice

Old-Husky-1 stated $859 is out of his price range so you recommend a $4,000+ machine. (checks web address to confirm I'm still on Garage Journal) In true GJ fashion, recommendation checks out. Carry on.

    Brake Bleeder Tool Decision

I have a Motive and I hate it. Every vehicle you work on seems to need a different adapter. So you end up spending a fortune on adapters and then you'll still have a vehicle it doesn't work on. For instance, I bought a universal adapter for my 1999 Land Cruiser because Motive stated they...

Shop Vac storage ideas for small garage?

I've heard good things about them but a 30 foot hose isn't that great. And given the design you couldn't replace it with a 50 footer. But if 30 feet works for you, I'd say it's a good option, albeit a bit expensive. The wall mounted Craftsman I posted earlier is like $120. Replace the short...

Shop Vac storage ideas for small garage?

I've had the Rockler for a couple years now. Very nice reel. They've gone up a fair bit since my purchase. I'd like to get another one for my main garage.

Spray Bottle for Bleach and Other Cleaner

Zep makes a spray bottle for bleach. HD carries them. I've been using one for over 6 months with zero issues. https://www.homedepot.com/p/ZEP-32-oz-Bleach-Resistant-Sprayer-Bottle-2-0-ZUPRO2/317117997

McGard would be a good replacement. They have a lifetime guarantee to not rust, chip or peel.

Preventing Capped Lug Nuts from swelling

I've never seen corrosion on the steel nuts, just deformation on the cap. I've had a bunch of vehicles with capped lug nuts. Land Rover loves them and has been using them since at least the early 90s.

Shop Vac storage ideas for small garage?

I've had this one for 19 years. Has a 1 7/8 inch hose. Not a 2 1/2 inch but better than a 1 1/4 hose. Been a wonderful vac. Love that it's ready to go. Just unwrap the hose and turn it on. The cubby under the vac stores your attachments. Craftsman wall vac

Help me choose: is this BE unit (Vanguard 400, AR Triplex) worth the extra cost?

1,000-1,200 psi is an ideal pressure for washing vehicles. 2 gpm is perfectly fine. 3 gpm is really nice. So in the spirit of GJ, #1 is the only option. Bonus points if it has a diesel engine, remote start, and heated seats.

    Replacing original air hose ends?

I've used the Dixon fitting for pressure washer hose without any issues. They make fittings for hydraulic line as well. So I certainly wouldn't be concerned using one for an air hose.

recommendations for scissors for blister packs

This is one of the best things I've used for opening plastic packaging. It works so well and is super safe to use. The blue thumb-operated blade pops out with the push of your thumb to make the entry slit. https://www.amazon.com/OpenX®-Clamshell-Package-Opener/dp/B000RT8GQY?tag=atomicindus08-20
