i just dont get how people can ASSume people are out to scam somebody. the woman never asked for help one time if it were a scam. i think she would be on here giveing us info. the guys here on the board are the ones took it upon themselves to try to help!

try ebay, i see a fair amount of guys parting out used welders on there. you can also check the local welding supply store alot of times they take stuff on trade just to get a new one sold, they might have parts lyeing around.

wow thanks for the info, but i wasnt able to go get the lathe on sat. i forgot it was hunting season here in pa. all my buddy's were gone. i did go over and pay the guy for it. i had some old 4x4's sitting around and i took them over and we got it bolted it down to them hopefully they will work...

as long as it has the craftsman name you can take it back to any sears, but without the reciept you might have some trouble with an exchange. is there anybody that works there that you know real well that will retun it. they get real picky on electric items.

i have used aerokroil before that is a great product, but it is real hard to find in my area. the 2 places i knew that sold it have closed down [ both small mom pop stores] since we have 2 huge home depot and one lowes in my area. i talked to a guy at the local speed shop he is going to look...

yes it is a shame to have a tool like this and just let it sit. yea that wd-40 isnt the grat stuff everybody thinks, i run into it all the time guys will spray bare sheat metal down and then think they can wipe it off an paint. i think it could be cleaned up, i had to use my kids camera mine...
