Adding Condenser to air compressor 101?

Welcome Diesel Mercedes. I have had a few Diesel Mercedes. This is a very small compressor. If you are worried about condensate using this, I would suggest you have bigger problems than an after cooler! You need a bigger compressor! Or try cordless!

    Air Compressor Wiring

Outlets unless pin and sleeve type are not allowed. Outlets have both an amp and HP rating. Welding outlets, stove outlets, W/D outlets, and stuff like that are not rated for the HP. Disconnect is required when breaker is more than 50 feet away or out of sight by NEC rules.

Why did you switch? In my region they are in the September flyer, get a set and get a free QR ratchet.

Bryant BR breakers the same as Eaton BR?

Norcal does not like BR breakers, thinks they're ****, hence the reference to Zinsco.

Two cylinder single stage champion compressor. Need info to find parts.

A picture of the whole thing & another with a ruler from the base of the cylinder head to the top would be helpful.

    Blue Point Compact 3/8" impact?

Anyone ever use the AT2538? https://store.snapon.com/3-8-Drive-Heavy-Duty-Blue-Point-174--3-8-Drive-Compact-Impact-Wrench-nbsp-Blue-Point-reg--P893008.aspx I'm wondering how it compares to the other brands of mini 3/8" ?

    Home garage compressed air filtration?

In theory you size the air dryer to amount of air your tool is using. 75 SCFM is fine for anything a home user would normally have. They do make high-temp refrigerated dryers for compressors that do not have after coolers. pcmeiners' point about the rated SCFM of the refrigerated dryer versus...

Looking to replace a Stihl 440 chainsaw

For chain saws I prefer Stihl over Husky. I had the 260, 460, 660, and the pole pruner. Never had a problem with them. The Husky spent most of its time either breaking or not running.

    Snap On Vantage Ultra

I realize this is an older thread but I'm wondering if any of the features removed from the Vantage Ultra have been brought back? For example, the manual states there is a Zoom function, but this thread says there is not one? https://www1.snapon.com/display/1060/Vantage_Ultra_User_Manual.pdf...

    Older speedaire/champion compressor

The specs are right there in the Grainger catalog. With a 5 HP motor, you should be using a 7-1/4" sheave and stop it at 120 PSI. Heat and load on both the pump & motor are limiting factors for both speed and pressure.

Anybody own Mac's 12 piece snap ring plier set?

The MAC ones are just another case of of MAC and MATCO charging nearly as much or more than Snap On for an inferior product that "looks" the same.

    Better than the CT761?

The Milwaukee may be cheaper, but it is larger. The Snap on 14.4 3/8" impact is easily one of my most favorite tools.

    1hp right angle die grinder

The other issue with this big die grinders is how much air they use. Figure a 7.5-10 HP air compressor is needed unless this one is a unicorn.

    Flap Disk

Try grinding down metal using a 3M Green Corps 24 grit grinding wheel. Then try it again with 3M Cubitron 40 grit flap. The difference is night and day. The speed increase going from the grinding wheel to a good flap is unimaginable at first. Time is money too. As far as I know the only...

    Questions about compressor accessories

Local supply house is a good option if your supply house is any good. Mine is and I use them. I try to avoid Home Depot because they charge the same or more and the quality and service isn't as good. Amazon is another place to look. A pipe ****** works just fine in place of male threads. I...

Correct breaker size for 15A compressor?

The HF air compressor will run fine on any standard 14 AWG / 15A home circuit as long as the distance from the receptacle to the panel is not outrageously long. I have run these types before with the ceiling light on and even managed to open and close the garage door too. :D What you've done...

    Questions about compressor accessories

Teflon tape from the big bins at Home Depot is perfectly fine. The reason I like the ball valve at the compressor for when you drop something on the hose and it breaks open or you need to change a coupler or something like that. I suppose you could let the tank drain out and then fix it...

    Questions about compressor accessories

I would install a ball valve at the compressor. Apollo makes nice ones. With a single stage that cycles 90-120 psi you do not need a regulator at all. The standard tank drains are usually poopy, I like to replace them with an elbow and long ****** and a ball valve.

    32oz Snap-On Hammer impressions

Other hammers will work but Snap On dead blows are just a joy to use. Have yours replaced under the lifetime warranty and motor on. The grips on the Trusty-Cooks don't fit my hand well so I prefer the Snap On ones.
