Need help with heating options on the cheap

im in the same boat as you, from canada and looking to get something that doesnt cost an arm and a leg to heat up a 600sqf garage. right now i bought two 2500w baseboard heaters but think that this will cost a lot to run and keep the garage at least at 15 degrees Celsius.

Hi, it is almost 600sqf, with cathedral ceilings. It will be used for mainly storing one car in the winter and sometimes two. Might wash them once in a while in garage. I will have some tools where I might do some minor work (wood). There will also be a lot of storage and cabinets, lawn...

Well its not smooth like a real polish. All that was done was the helicopter so the concrete is still rough, but smoother than what it would have been without the helicopter.

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

Hi there, I am starting my 14 1/2 foot by 37 foot garage with cathedral ceilings. I wanted to know what you would recommend for a garage my size. The garage will be mainly to store one car and sometimes two cars, it will also serve as a workshop (wood) and a place for me to change my tires and...

pasing romex 3awg wire through pvc conduit (issues)

Hi all, so finally the city has approved my plans after going back and forth many times. My foundation just went down so I passed my water pipes and my 3awg wire for a new subpanel in detached garage. I was passing it through a 1 1/4 inch pvc pipe once I ended up outside. The run ended up...

Type of wire to hookup sub panel in detached garage

I just know the basics of electrical like wiring up plugs and lights and heaters. After you mentionned aluminum vs copper I read up the differences and disadvantages to each. But it hasn't spoken about the amperage, mainly about cost. Yes I absolutely want to do it right and only once. Some of...

Type of wire to hookup sub panel in detached garage

    mitsubishi mr slim

I have the msz model. The issue with mine is that when I have it in ac mode the compressor just never stops running. Some people have mentioned that this is due to the placement outside. It is under a dim so it might not be getting enough airflow. But this is never mentioned anywhere in the...

Type of wire to hookup sub panel in detached garage

I believe that an ev car like a tesla would do 60 amps I would then have a few LEDs lights or lamps which doesn't draw much. In the winter I would have most likely two heaters of 1500w running. Other times I would have a tablesaw, compressor, other power tools running but not at the same time...

Type of wire to hookup sub panel in detached garage

I have delays with the plans for the city. Needed an architect to have it stamped and that just adds up more costs and more problems. I still didn't get to figure out what type of wire will do the job..... I've gone to my local hardware store and they don't seem to know much Need to shed...

Which garage opener to chose. Chain drive (hd420evc) vs belt drive (hd620evc)

Hi everyone, I have come across a clearance sale at Home Depot in Canada(where I’m from). I didn’t know which one of the door garage door openers to buy so I just bought them both. The whisper drive came out to 150$ and the belt drive came out to 100$. I feel like these are solid deals as I’m...
