    Just closing the loop. Door was installed on tuesday. THe highlift is awesome not just for clearance, but the garage feels huge with the door open now.. The old door with grafitti on it.. New door going up Now my ceiling is my limiting factor, but floorpans to floor is just under six foot.

    Had the local Haas dealerout last night, the 600series with high lift (standard radius) 1200 installed. Its a better door (polyurathane vs polystyrene) and better R value for less $$ and its a "known" manufacturer. And it had 10 ball nylon rollers standard (I am told this is the way to go)...

    Sorry I dont have any experience in breezways, but what are the project cars? any pics? I am currently building a 30x48 to store mine, and have tall cielings to stack them when it gets full, its an addiction! One thing I can say is one of my car guy buddies had his compressor in the cold side...

    pole, steel, or stick construction for garage?

    I have the floor and footing done on my 30x48, the quotes to have the shell up, 2x6 walls, standard trusses, shingled, and sheeted are less (16k) than I spent on the slab (18k) The concrete (i needed a 6' wall to bruing it to grade) was half the expense of my stick build pole wasn't an option...

    Got the written quote, the door is 1085, and an additional 286 for the "high lift" (he plans on using 35" radius tracks)... so almost 1400 ...still seem ok? iam wondering if the 35" radius will eat up too much space in the front of the garage

    Yea, the LM has some potential drawbacks, but I believe its benifits outweigh the risk in my install, and inital setup and oter garage items messing with the cables seem to be the biggest issues, hopfully i can avoid those

    Sorry, updated my info, I am in SE Michigan. The 1100 is without an opener, Just the door shown (16x7), new tracks (high lift) and torson spring setup. Take down and haul old door, install new one.
