    Milwaukee Power Tools Deal Permathread

I work industrial maintenance for a multi-national corporation. It's almost impossible to get those for our department, forget about anything for the employee. When contractors come in to do the work we've done in the past they almost always get brand new power tools. When we request some items...

Lift modifications Thread- Lets see them!

What magnetic lights are those? Also thinking about incorporating a line laser like that.

    I bought a Worth lift......

They are definitely stout lifts, I've said they are 3/4 a Mohawk at 1/2 the price. The pump wiring, that's just standard SO cord and not a Worth thing. The lock releases are made into the carriage and not the column, so I don't think single point release is a feasible option, JMO. My 10K...

After too many years finally had some spray foam done in the shop. Ceiling and top 8' of the walls. Leaving the bottom 8' so I can do more wiring and then close up with 6" of fiberglass before covering. Foam prices have really jumped in the last 7 yrs!

    Snake oil!!

Unfortunately, my Snap-on Verus died and don't think I'm buying another. Not enough ROI at this point.

    Snake oil!!

My line of work is industrial maintenance, mechanical side. Once is an anomaly, twice is a coincidence, three times is a pattern. Over the last 7 yrs this has happened way more than 3 times. Walk into the bathroom, turn on hot water, heater turns on and GFCI trips. ONLY times I have ever had...

    Snake oil!!

Understand, it's the GFCI that trips and not the breaker. My guess, it's from the PWM water heater causing the GFCI to see a variation in the ground/neutral. I definitely don't have sensitive enough graphing meters to prove this. Adding something as low as a 5w nightlight to a 1500w space...

    Whole house surge protector

I'll check into that, probably ~6 yrs old now. No codes or warranty reasons, just figured it a worthwhile upgrade.

Fiber optic upgrade with house wired with coax and cat6?

When we started building the house, over 8 years ago now, every room was wired for coax and cat6. Still waiting to use the cat6, lol. (no terrestrial ISPs, still) Good to know about a ONT and I can plan for it's location.

    Snake oil!!

Have two random breaker trippers at my place. One is a GFCI outlet in the shop bathroom. Bathroom has a dedicated electric tankless water heater. Ocasionally when turning on the hot water the outlet will trip w/o load on it. With any load, even a simple night light, it has never tripped. WH is...
