Thanks very much . I will order the block and probably a new jaw set . While the one for the 300 isn't available I will test a set from a 225. I expect the only difference is the number stamped on the wood. If the 225 fits then I will order a set.

You could nail a 2 x 6 to the outside wall 6 inches up and then nail another 2 x 6 to it if needed for more width . Jack under that . Rinse and repeat for the other side. That would be enough to get rollers under it unless as noted the bottoms of the walls are rotten.

Weller may just have a bad tip. Try putting on a new tip or even re tighten the old one. My three Wellers are over 40 years old and all work perfectly. 8100 an 8200 and one of the old big ones . Hard to kill those things.

Just 2 cents worth, you likely can significantly improve on the HF saw by watching CL for a month under "Tools" It is fairly easy to find a good belt driven saw at a good price in most places. You would of course want to find one that would be easy to adapt to a vacuum setup.
