    Differential Bearing Puller

    William - doesn't this picture show it pulling on the inner race as opposed to the cage - It was my understanding that that was the entire purpose of the tool? I do have a 20ton shop press already, so I could use that if needed. From the research that I have done, some carriers do not allow...

    Differential Bearing Puller

    Now, I am sure that we have some folks on the board who work on ring and pinions daily -- I was hoping to get some opinions on this clamshell style puller. I have 2 axles to regear(new gears and e-lockers), and would like to learn the skill and perhaps put it to use on the side. The price...

    I want to build a fence gate wide enough to drive through.

    Dave, I just built an 8' pine fence(305') to retain man's best friend at my house. I will have 2 vehicle gates. One is 12' and the other is 14' wide. I am using 6x6 posts that are buried 4' deep and I augured the holes to be 12" diameter, 4 bags of concrete in each. I dug a channel between...

    Help me find a drill press (shop fox, maybe?)

    I have 5 Shop Fox machines in my shop, and I love all of them -- I understand that they are foreign made and I hate that I am not supporting our economy (I do try very hard to do it); however, that said, they are all great pieces of gear. I have a 17" DP (woodworking) and I love it. So, I would...

    Random idea for air lines::

    the inline filters dont really cut it when it is humid - esp. for sandblasting and spraying lacquer. I had the same thought about the condensation point -- i thought of coiling a 30ft tube(above the ceiling) and then running it up the rafter line.

    Random idea for air lines::

    I have my attached garage tore down to the bare studs and was sitting in the garage staring at the rafters pondering what you all might think about running copper tubing to the peak(garage is 10ft ceiling, attic peak is 22ft) and then back down and into the garage run. It would be a huge uphill...

    Link for IRC?

    I called and talked to the inspector regarding ceiling (and the attached wall) material's that meet code for an attached garage. He said that I have to have a minimum of 1/2" drywall on the attached wall. He said that the ceiling does not have to be drywall IF IT HAS 1/2" SEPARATION. I could...

    pics of my new motor

    That is beautiful! 2 Questions: 1 - What kind of power do you expect out of that? I presume you built it all from the bottom up? 1 - I have always wondered this one, so I will ask on here to the experts:: How hard is it/ how do you go about using braided stainless and AN fittings for the...
