    I need a reliable electrical tester/multimeter Fluke T5/6 vs 325

I'm very appreciative of you guys sharing good information with me, I have no idea what I am doing but I'm trying to learn. Could the breakers not being seated inside at the main panel be causing the poor/loose connection? I shut it off at the main panel for now until I can figure it out.

It’s been this way for at least two years, not certain what caused it but it is not an ongoing issue. Is the panel big enough for a 5?

My guess is this is from the exterior plug having a short but plan to test and see what has been damaged

Yes, exactly. Thank you for your added insight, and for confirming my thoughts on the clamp meter. I am going to find a smaller motor but would like to make use of this while/if I can. The Klein does have the mentioned features. (CL800)

I love the idea of a doghouse but my city is asking for $350 plus inspection to do it, aaaand I want to avoid that.

I usually run my heat once we get down to a steady freeze which lately has been after december where I am. Recent years it has been really timid until mid Dec, but I have a natural gas wall unit that I run at it's lowest setting and the shop is pretty well insulated so it doesn't take much...

I saw that, this is all new to me but we had a new AC installed and this is how it looks afterward. It kind of looks like the way the panel sits over top of the breakers like it was put back on a little crooked.

    I need a reliable electrical tester/multimeter Fluke T5/6 vs 325

I started this project reaching out to the power company with the details on the motor and my panel, they said I have zero limitations on the feed side. Not that I trust what they say, but that's what I was told. I want to test everything prior to moving this monster compressor into it's place...

This is my main panel, the two dual pole 50’s go to my shop. This is my shop panel where I’m going to install the dual pole 50 amp breaker. From here the contactor Then the motor If I would be better served with a multimeter for this task then that’s what I’ll get. But I understand that a...

I'm currently working on the electrical, and believe that putting the compressor and tank inside is going to be the move at this point.

I’m in over my head a bit but want to learn. The clamp meter will allow me to measure the in rush current on the 10hp (FLA 43), a clamp meter is like a sledge hammer where a multimeter is a good ball peen, both are good to have but the DMM’s top out at 10amps. Installing a 50amp dual pole...

The T5 1000 is $150 (T6-1000 $200 but I don't know that I need anything beyond what the T5 is offering) Where going into the 325 would provide true rms over average with the T5.

I have been looking for a few days, and I did consider the Klein meters, first actually. The MM720, looks awesome. The 10hp motor for my compressor and my 2hp grinder are beyond the capabilities which is why I am steering toward a clamp meter. Klein does have some awesome stuff, and I'm not a...

    I need a reliable electrical tester/multimeter Fluke T5/6 vs 325

Gentlemen, I need to do some basic testing in my home panel 200amp and detached 100amp sub panel. I also do some basic testing with electric motors 1/3hp-10hp, boat and car electronics. Some small appliance testing and repair, HVAC etc. I like the capabilities of the T5/6 600/1000/Pro and the...

My thought is an auto drain, but also that if there were water in the bottom of the tank it would have to be pure negligence to get to a level that it would expand and damage the 120 gallon tank. Not to say it’s not possible just much less probable. I’m torn, I like the idea of it being...

Can anyone think of a reason that I should not house the pump and motor inside and the tank outside? My concern is it regularly gets frigid here from Nov-Mar and I would like to not worry about the water in the crankcase freezing. I understand ideally there would be little to no water but it is...
